The powerful gale quickly enveloped Wanderer and Tiwaz, the latter barley managing to remain stable. The former, however, was having no such luck. His eyes half closed due to the stinging wind, Tiwaz saw Wanderer being flung towards the WAL tower, then a flash of aquamarine light. Remembering the same glow when Wanderer had first appeared and right before being transported outside the tower, the Orien rapidly turned to see if the Scion had reappeared for another attack. Mere seconds had passed before Wanderer emerged, darting around the tornado and hurtling towards Tiwaz, fists extended. Tiwaz was braced to dodge or block, but right before collision Wanderer vanished in the same blue flare. Again Tiwaz whirled and this time saw Wanderer launching a kick at his left side. Instinctively the wizard apprentice’s hands flew out, clumsily blocking the kick. The force of it, seeming augmented beyond normal, jarred his hands, arms, and shoulders and sent the mystic flying backwards several feet, landing him right on the edge of the wind storm. This attack was quickly followed by a flare of sapphire flames, which Tiwaz was spared the trouble of dealing with thanks to the winds just enveloping him. The inferno was blown away almost as soon as it entered, although Tiwaz could still feel their tremendous heat, and tongues of fire still licked his armor. What the warlock didn’t know was that the flames were part of a twofold attack, the other half being an invisible but far more dangerous telekinetic shockwave. Unaware and unprepared for this, Tiwaz was thrust further into the cyclone, where the winds were much greater. Somewhat dazed, Tiwaz was barely able to keep himself from being blasted into the tower as Wanderer was. He managed to stay steady though, and quickly calmed the violent gales that were proving extremely counterproductive, as they were now more of a danger to him than Wanderer. Better not try something like that again, too unpredictable. Gotta figure out how to get him off my back quick, few more attacks like that and I’m done for. Only problem is how, so far he’s had a counter for everything. Might be able to beat him in hand-to-hand, but between that teleportation and telekinesis I don’t know. Besides, my arms are aching too much for close combat that was a really bad block. Well, guess I keep him at bay for now, or maybe I can convince him I’m really not looking for trouble, though attacking him with potentially fatal results probably isn’t the best way to do it, so that could be kinda hard.

Having steadied himself and returned to floating a few yards away from Wanderer, who had assumed his usual arms crossed position, formulated an incantation while asking quite bluntly “Do you talk? Because where I come from there are usually these long speeches before single combat. Or is that just different here?” It wasn’t your usual battle question, but the Scion’s silence was somewhat unnerving him. As soon as he had finished, Tiwaz quietly muttered Lucis telum,” or light bolts. About a dozen golden spikes of light materialized in front of Tiwaz; in the next second they were propelled towards Wanderer. They weren’t solid; all they would do was stun if they connected. The Emperor’s son knew he was tiring, and figured the Planetary Shaman was too. If it wasn’t who could get in the best attack that would decide a winner, it would probably be who dropped from sheer exhaustion first.

The effect of Tiwaz's flames was instant. He watched as Wanderer threw up his hands to protect his face from the scorching heat, seemingly more of an instinctive move than anything else. As the fire grew, the temperature at their base grew colder. But Tiwaz was ready for a defense like this and kept the heat up, the blaze only weakening slightly before returning to its former strength. The Scion's failure was Tiwaz's success; in his mind he had now won. But he didn't know about the flipside of Wando's powers. The Dragon's Son was relaxing the intense hold he had been keeping on the enchanted inferno, still sustaining it but not much else, figuring Wanderer couldn't stop it and there wasn't any point in wasting his energy waiting to stop him from doing so. He couldn't have been more wrong. If he'd known Izaac possessed pyrokenesis, he never would have attacked with fire in the first place. But unfortunately Tiwaz had only seen the Planetary Shaman's power over water and ice and assumed that was the limit. So as with the storm he had created mere minutes before, the Scion met little resistance as he took control of the golden blaze, undoing the effects of the magic Tiwaz was channeling to sustain it. The flames shrunk smaller and smaller, and before the warlock could stop it, all that was left was smoke.

Dang it!! Come on Tiwaz, you can do better than this. You've had years of training and still you make beginner mistakes. But why wait to use fire control, why try lowering the temperature first? Maybe it's kind of a last resort, and/or he can only control water or fire at a time. And now what should I expect him to do, he's got power over water, fire, what else does he have, if anything? Gah, if I just knew what to expect. But, I've got a wide range of powers too; I just need to take him by surprise. That, or don't branch out as much as I can and save it for a situation like I put him in. Oh...here we go again.   While Tiwaz had been lost in thought, Wanderer had been utilizing his teleportation powers, another thing Tiwaz didn't know he could do, to ease the amount of repair that would be needed to fix the damage the fire had inflicted. But it wasn't that which had jolted the Orien spell-caster back to reality. No, what Tiwaz had almost missed, Sometimes I think I just need to stop thinking, was that Wanderer was now generating a portal that was transporting the two of them...somewhere. The warlock apprentice felt the now familiar sensation of being pulled away from where he was and towards somewhere else. Except this time, nothing pulled him back. It was clear that wherever Wanderer was teleporting himself and Tiwaz, it was to continue the fight in surroundings that he preferred, not simply to send the Orien away. But wherever he continued it, Wanderer automatically had an advantage. He knew where they were and could already be planning his attack accordingly. Knowing this, Tiwaz attempted to stay as alert as possible so as to be ready for anything, which could be pretty hard when they could be landing anywhere.

As it happened, Tiwaz ended up failing in his plan to be "prepared for anything." Because the last thing he expected was to be transported just outside the WAL tower and find himself plummeting down at an incredible rate, rapidly closing distance between himself and the metal roof of a building far below him. Somewhat dazed from the teleportation, Tiwaz was unable to do anything to slow or stop his fall before Wanderer unleashed the second part of his attack. The son of the Emperor didn't recognize what hit him as a field of telekinetic energy filled with compressed air, all he knew at the moment was that it was making him fall even faster. Fully alert now, Tiwaz formulated the incantation that would end his descent, but waited to cast it, not wanting to be caught between the air pressure pushing him down and the mystic power that woudl push him up.   As he was about to cast the spell to remove the pressure however, Wanderer attacked again. By now he had stopped his fall and was hovering above Tiwaz. His hand was extended, and from his palm emerged and burst of red light and heat, directed towards Tiwaz. In the second he had to defend himself, the young warlock figured out a way to stop the blast and get rid of the air pressure. ”Levitas!” Lightning.

Thrusting his pearl out in front of him, Tiwaz channeled the mystic power into a bolt of lightning fired from the pearl. Normally the intense heat of it would be too much to bear, but his dragon nature kept him immune to forms of weather. Lightning and light collided right above Tiwaz, releasing powerful shockwaves and for a moment combining the heat of the two bolts. Tiwaz had to turn away and shield his face as the warmth hit him, but the temporary discomfort was worth it. The intense heat generated caused the temperature of the air pressure to increase, and warm air rises. Thankfully Wanderer had released control over the telekinetic field, so it simply lifted off Tiwaz. Free of the pressure forcing him downwards, Tiwaz reversed his own descent.  “Orior.” Rise.  The young wizard was just a few feet above the metallic roof of the building he was about to collide with when he shot back upwards as the spell took effect. In just a few seconds he was level with the grim, or maybe it was just the hood, Scion of the Frozen Heavens, arms crossed, eyes faintly glowing red. It was only the second time Tiwaz had really seen him face to face, and again the apprentice was slightly daunted by imposing figure. He really wasn't that much bigger than Tiwaz, but the billowing indigo cloak, the shadows cast by the hood that kept his face mostly hidden save for the fiery crimson glow of his eyes, coupled with the fact that now that he was now twice as dangerous as Tiwaz had thought due to revealing his pyrokinetic powers, it was all fairly intimidating. The mystic warrior couldn't even bring himself to look in Wanderer's eyes.

After what seemed to Tiwaz like hours but was only a few seconds, the Orien magician cast his next attack.  " D ivum turbo.” Sky tornado.  There was already a slight wind blowing around the two opponents, but not strong enough to do anything to either of them. Tiwaz intended to change that. As soon as the words left his lips, the breeze turned into a fierce gale. Gradually the wind switched from blowing wherever to swirling around Wanderer, faster and faster, growing ever stronger. It wasn't near as powerful as a real tornado, that would have been far too strong for even Tiwaz with his dragon powers to keep from getting sucked into at such close range, but strong enough that at the very least Tiwaz hoped it would disorient Wanderer, at best knock him unconscious from sheer wind force or by slamming him into the WAL tower. Now it was the warlock's turn to watch as Wanderer devised a way (if he did, which Tiwaz figured he probably could) to escape his danger. And then, with more resources at their disposal now than before, things could really let loose.
