@Rixec: I hope so, but at first I was just complaining about the cover hoping this one was a variant.... I loved the original cover, I would even buy a bust of that one, and I dont buy any collectables lol
TitanTempest's forum posts
@red_titan: The other design was SO cool! and they replaced it with a blue turkey girl WWHHYYY!!!!! But I guess they have their reasons, but an Ancient Aztec Blue Beetle would have been awesome
@Ravager4: Im already not a big fan of Marvel.... So IF they do, Im right there with you, I will not read Marvel agian. Runaways is one of those titles that is a part of the Marvel universe but has its own style too, they better respect it :P
Oh no!!! I hope they will still have the cover they showed for Blue Beetle #0 original cover. Not that I hate this cover, I just loved the other one
They seem to have outright changed the story. The one solicited in that cover was about the ancient Mayans, this preview seems to be about something else entirely.
Awwww I am so so sad, lol.... That sucks, maybe they can re-use that story one day in the future.... Thanks for the heads-up and info
Like some of the people here said... It's more soap-opera than superhero series. Aside from that, the far deviation from the source materials affected my interest in the series. Not that far deviation is a bad thing (cause I loved Nolan's deviations) but I just felt they did it wrong. That's just me.
I don't really hate it. But I hate the fanatics. Fans are ok. But the fanatics piss the sh*t out of me. For example, the backlash when Henry Cavill was selected for Man of Steel. It was ridiculous. The fanatics wanted Welling to be the one and only Superman. That will kill the movie franchise. People will associate the movie with the show and the polarized fan/hate-base would cut the interest in the movie.
Another example of fanaticism? Here ya go...
I love Smallville. People who hate it are actually dead on the inside. Poor them.
Uhm, there are fanatics everywhere. Havent you seen those Superman Christopher Reeves fanatics that bitch and whine about the new outfit all the time.
You look like you're one of them.
I made a joke, if you can't decide what is an exaggerated statement and a serious one, poor you.
Like you said "ssejjllenrad" deviations arnt bad, I like variations.... It would be stupid for every comic universe to feel the same, I dont think they did bad for their Smallville universe.... Smallville did a great thing by bring everyday people into the comic world. The more people we get into comics, the more publishers can expand and grow. Superman, has lost a lot of fandom over the years, but because of Smallville he gained many fans, which in my eyes is good!!!
@htb106: I have to agree, I know DC got there name from Detective Comics, but this is getting ridiculous!!! 12 or so comics devoted to the Batman brand is getting out of hand.... While I do enjoy many of these titles some of them need to go, like after Grant Morrison leaves, Batman Inc. at least that will be one down.... But we will see how it goes
Well Im glad your passing the torch down to your kids.... I collect the trades, so I prob still be collecting by then and pass em along too....... I think thats where comics should find a happy medium, a place were both kids and adults can enjoy the same book
