"how are they "perverting" over emma??? you expect her to sleep in pajamas with the feet attached to them/???"

pixelized, read over the x-men comics in last year or so, clearly implies x-men wrters loved emma so much.

this thread is about costumes and let start with magneto, why does he look so great in these colours, red & purble, even in the 90's he looks amazing? how come, how can such major villian be dress like this and pull it off.

what bout wolverine, he always be associated with the yellow & blue costume, but how comes, surely he better in the brown costume or x-force costume.

what about cylops?
his costume today, clearly sucks, he looks like he go pj's on. his costume from new x-men was very cool.

what about jean grey phenonix costume, the read represent drak pheonix and green respresents good pheonix, what the white crown, how does she pull this off, she looks really cool in it.
what character costumes, suprise you're most, what costumes pull it off and what costumes don't ?

i collected the x-men titles on thursday, end of the month is usually time when i buy comics.  so where do i begin, lets start with x-men legacy, which is begining to ignore the crap out of me, i loved seeing rogue & remy back in comics again but charles is soignoring now, the x-men writers thinks charles is  like cable or wolverine, they think he is cool as them. when he's clearly not, he's like colossus & kurt boring. he needs to lead a team again, maybe not x-men, just a team. I think he is weak character without likes of jean, cylops, wolverine, beast  and even magneto.
astonishing x-men very disppointed this month, last issues was good, but this month issue suck. both emma frost & storm look amazing in it and cylops & wolverine look gay in it. check this out.  I'm just wondering what the x-men writers are trying to do.

uncanny x-men was good this this month, 2 issues release in the same month. i'm quite suprised. so maddy wants to control psylocke ? why and what  does she want with wolverine ?

once again they are perverting over emma, but aleast we get to see some cracks in cylops & emma relationship

wolverine origin wasn't great this month, it was kind of depressing. i hoping wolverine would kick cylops ass, oh well.
messiah war very good chapter 3, so archnangel confronts apocalpyse i wonder why, stryfe was amazing in it. so cool. i didn't collect chapter 2 cause it was sold out but a reprint will be release on may 6th 2009.
can someone tell why the woman  ucanny x-men look amazing but men look poor in the comic.

everytime i see maddy, she reminds me of jean grey, i can't wait till she returns  i hoping gambit and rogue will return to uncanny x-men.

anyone who thinks  Morrison run is better than 90's, it just really sad,  but i guess everyone is entiltle to there point view. x-factor is were x-men began, but it was the x-men comic, that shine the most back then. By the way i will get back to you're on the artwork.

Today's writers really focus on character development more than ever and each character has an amazing amount of depth.
give me a example of character that has better development.

by the way i been reading comics for years, i'm loving x-force, messiah war started of really well.

What's that about  psylocke, something to do with her breast, i supposed emma frost could related to that, that's why people like her  so much. Back then there were loads of comics, load of ideas, that's  part of the reason they were close to bankruptcy. there were a loads of compettion back then , i mean x-men comics was around for years before top cow & witchblade series begin.  Today comics particluar x-men meanfest destinys, x-infernus, some of cable, some x-men legacy, some of uncanny x-men, new exiles comics are really bad, the only consistent comic is x-force. Even today there doing the same thing just runing any  ideas, trying to make money, doing so many crossovers. Before it  was special when we had x-men crossover with an other team or  character, now their throwing it down our throats, it's just about money,  they don't actually care about the characters.  There no pasion anymore in x-men.

i show the pictures above, cause i am showing how much i appreciate comics back then. they were masterpieces.

The 90s were the worst time in Marvel comics.... They could barely stay afloat, had awful writers and awful artists. There were a few good X-Stories, but go through and read some of that stuff now, it's embarrassing to read."
The failures of the 90's drove Marvel to the brink of bankruptcy.  If the movie franchises hadn't come along to pick up the slack, there probably wouldn't be a Marvel anymore.  I'm guessing that most of this love for the 90's and the Claremont era is just nostalgia.  Going back and actually rereading the 90's X-books is, as you say, embarrassing.  The art is dreadful, the writing is worse, everything is as colorful, schlocky and over-the-top as possible...it's like going to the circus while tripping on acid.  I can't believe people are actually pining for the return of big hair and leather-coats-over-spandex."

by the way what era of x-men comics do you think is better than the 90's, what writer or even a story arc that outshines the past ?

""the 90's were best time in comics, such brillance & style, that not writer today or team could replace. the blue & gold team, such greatness, such true class. i pay my respect to good old days"The 90s were the worst time in Marvel comics.... you're  are a truly misguided my friend, what are your faverite story arcs, what story arcs out shines the past, when did you're become fan of x-men ? "
Misguided? No... But am I someone who goes back and actually rereads what I own? Yes. Favorite story arcs (I'll humor you and just talk about X-related stories) New X-Men (Morrison run that most X-Fanboys despise), House of M, Age of Apocalypse (OMG, a 90s book!), and Inferno. When did I become a fan of X-Men.... ugh.... I was a fan from 1986-1996. I occasionally read recommended story arcs but the 2000s destroys the 90s, curbstomp..... Thanks for the inquisition. "

New X-Men Morrison, seriously? the writer & artwork was very poor, did you're see beast ? the only highlight of that was emma & cylops affair, look at the way they treated jean grey. House of m was alright, it was good idea but it wasn't one of the  best story arc.  Age of apocalypse, fatal attraction, x-cutioners song, these stories alone were better than most  of  2000' story arcs. what esle did we have, oh yeah a great selection of teams such as x-men, x-factor, x-force, generation X, it's were exiles began. Today comics, the only good team with have today is x-force. x-men today sucks.

During the 90s they knew how to write for there characters, every character in the x-men  in 90's were really good, they all had some sort of spotlight, a good spotlight. today they don't, colossus, kurt, beast, angel, charles and even storm sucks.

The artwork back then wasn't great compared some artwork in today comics, like x-force, etc. but they had touch of class back then, now they don't. oh yeah claremont had one of the the highest selling book in comic book history (selling close to 8 million copies).
