Why does Superior Spiderman's costume look more and more like Ben Reilly? This might be the only Superior comic I read just because of Miguel O'Hara being in it. I haven't been a fan of the Superior title and the reviews and so forth have not been of any interest to me. I may read this and then wait until they bring the real Spider-man back.

I've always liked Miguel O'Hara. This might get me to pick up an issue of Superior Spider-man.

The artwork is good in both of these series. I think I may have to look into Peter Cannon comic.

I have just read on some other sites that the animation reps at Warner Brothers have confirmed the cancellations to Newsrama. It has been disappointing to see good shows get cancelled on Cartoon Network. These two now join Sym-Bionic Titan and Thundercats on the list of shows that were cancelled by CN that were very popular. Just disappointing.

I am curious. For those who said they like the new direction please explain why. What is it about Octavius as Spider-man that has you so excited? We can already read about someone who isn't Peter Parker that has the same powers(Scarlett Spider). I don't see the appeal. Octavius may have the memories of Parker but I can't see this guy making wisecracks or even remotely being a likable character. I am having real trouble getting behind the guy who killed off Peter. I don't buy that he all of a sudden wants to be a good guy. It still seems hypocritical to me that he said he will be better than the original. When someone takes on the mantel of another person they usually hope to at least live up to the reputation of their predecessor. To say I'm not only going be you but I'm going to be better than you is the mentality of a super-villain. I won't be reading Superior Spider-man.

This looks similar in style to Green Lantern: the animated series. I'll take a wait and see approach.

This could be interesting if done properly. Not sure how the sidekick thing will work out though.

I enjoyed reading this article. There are many ways to have a character evolve. A relationship is just one. I think Slott has shown there are other ways to change Spider-man (his job, losing part of his powers). J. Micheal Strazynski also showed a way to evolve the character based on his powers. I would enjoy reading about Peter and Mary Jane getting back together it added depth to the character before and it could add many interesting elements with Slott writing the stories.

For those upset about the wardrobe here is the quote of her character from this website. Dejah Thoris was described by Burroughs as being beautiful in the extreme, with wavy coal black hair, large lustrous eyes, and light reddish copper-colored skin. Because the Red Martian people are born from eggs rather than giving live birth, she has no belly button (though artists frequently draw her with one). As was typical of Martian custom, Dejah wore no clothing: She was as destitute of clothes as the green Martians who accompanied her; indeed, save for her highly wrought ornaments she was entirely naked, nor could any apparel have enhanced the beauty of her perfect and symmetrical figure.

The author of the original series back in 1917 created her this way and those writing the comic adaptation are staying true to the character. Whether we like it or not this is how she was created. I have to admit the movie got me into looking into this series and I think it's an interesting story.

This looks like it would be an interesting series.
