DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES Official Trailer Hits Youtube

Following the revolutionary events of Rise of the Planet of the Apes in 2011, the tyrannical Caesar puts on warpaint and leads a legion of his angry followers through what seems to have grown beyond the Redwood forest in San Francisco. New characters in the franchise like Gary Oldman (The Dark Knight), Keri Russell (The Americans), and Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty) look like they are making attempts to establish peace. This will prove difficult as humanity, no longer the dominant species on Earth, struggles to survive after civilization is brought to it's knees. Showing on July 11th 2014, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes will be shown in 3D (of course). Reactions?

As someone that grew up with the original movies, I can tell you that I am extremely pumped for this film. The last one was glorious.

Same, this movie looks far more serious, the tone, feeling, emotions etc. Like you can understand both sides...

I really want to see this, the first movie was awesome. I had no idea they were making a sequel until now.

Was that Gary Oldman at that one part?

This movie looks awesome, can't wait. This is the originality that's missing these days. Things can be rebooted, I may not like it, but I can respect taking your own twist to it. That's what they did with Dawn. They gave us the back story, and watching it unfold was awesome. I saw it on opening day and it was one hell of a movie. I thought this was being pushed back, but I'm glad it isn't.

Yes, that was Gary Oldman. And I think you may be referring to Rise of the Planet of the Apes, not Dawn.
