meh. Most of the Marvel films acting is all within the supporting cast really. You don't like Paul Rudd, then you don't like Paul Rudd, no problem. But criticizing his acting abilities isn't fair when we're watching a New Jersey-accent Black Widow next to Samuel L. Jackson playing Samuel L. Jackson with an eye patch. Chris Evans version of emoting is to stare off into space, and Thor is all about grimacing for 80% of the film. Are you really putting that much stock in the 'acting' in any of these films? I really don't know why.

I'll just be sitting over here continuing to be flabbergasted by how much people seem to dislike JRJr.

All in all, I've enjoyed all of the Superman stuff by Johns I've read, so I'm on board with this.

Can I pull up a chair? Since when did JRJr. become hated? Maybe there's something I missed. Last thing I read drawn by him was AvX and Kick-Ass and didn't find anything offensive about his work. And here I was looking forward to him doing some DC work!

BTW... speaking of CW and DC shows... did Comicvine completely miss the news that Professor Zoom and Killer Frost have been cast for the Flash TV show?

This is a loaded survey because let's be fair: There's a LOT of readers who don't read books from all publishers. So then the vote basically isn't about which seems promising, but who the voter just happens to like more currently. The first comment here even says so.

I don't think there's any way at all to ask this question and get a real, honest or even remotely accurate result.

1. Am I the only one who notices that the covers form a bigger panorama?

2. No one noticed the person inside of Blink's portal whose face is obscured?

I'm a Batman fan... but enough Batman/Superman cartoons!

Seriously:

  • Blackest Night, or any of the other Johns GL arcs
  • Kingdom Come
  • something Wonder Woman (maybe the new series? I love the stuff w/ Olympians)
  • The Justice League meets the Justice Society
  • Armageddon (ok, this one's a stretch... but how about the cartoon reinstates the original ending where Captain Atom is Monarch?)
  • Justice League Dark
  • Justice League International (!)

etc etc.

Just think there's so much more than Batman and Superman stories.

Why is this even a question?

Is Warner that stupid?

They already have a DC live action series on the ground running and actually garnering decent criticisms and there's a question of whether this should be a launch pad for the JL movie?

There's a question of whether any other live-action series (Constantine, Flash, Gotham) should be folded in as well and all part of the same movie-universe?

There shouldn't be a question... just make it f'n happen Warner.

I just don't get it. What was so great about Infinity? There was so much crammed into the mini-series, that a huge majority of it was mostly narrated, summarized comic panels rather than dialog and story.

I guess the whole bit with the Inhumans and average people having their inhuman DNA activated is the most interesting development, but I don't get what was so great outside of that. The Thanos origins mini-series that served as a prologue was 100 times more entertaining.

Marvel events consistently disappoint me. I always find them lackluster.

Not that DC is any better... they suck a little too. Trinity War was garbage. Zero Year is boring.

The Forever Evil story I like a lot... but all the tie-ins (ARGUS, Rogues) and Forever Evil month is junk. Especially Forever Evil month... what a load... because as soon as the month ended, all the books jumped right back into the story-lines that preceded it. How confusing. DC couldn't have at least waited for most plots to finish first, then jump into Forever Evil? Makes no sense.

But... the difference between my distaste for Marvel events vs DC events... at least the DC events don't cause me to abandon their other books. I can count which Marvel books I regularly read on one hand. That's missing a thumb. And the pinky.

"Keeping it limited to just comic book movies would restrict matters, so we included a few films we know the community really dug this year"

No Caption Provided

No, seriously.... how does GIJoe get over on Red 2, Riddick or Catching Fire? Elysium? Look, I'm not listing movies I think are so great... far from it... but even if you think what I just listed are stinkers, they still aren't no where near as stank and rank as total complete waste of time GIJoe was. God that film is so awful. Just bad. Everyone can say anything bad about any other film, and GiJoe is still 1,000,000% WORSE.

I'm pretty sure if you asked an uber-Anti Orson Scott Card person if they could only choose to watch Ender's Game or GIJoe.... they'd pick Enders Game.
