TTBA's Respect Thread Directory

Welcome

Hello,

My name is Aaron ( or TheTrueBarryAllen if you wanna go by usernames ) and I'm a huge fan of respect threads. I've got scans galore from all the digital & physical comics I've acquired & have the desire to make my own series of respect threads for a wide variety of characters.

What I'd like to do it obtain requests from the many users of ComicVine of who they'd like to see a respect thread for - this character can be from any publisher & I may or may not have them - but I always like collecting new comics and wouldn't mind buying issues in order to create a thread for them.

I'd also love to collaborate with people here on the Vine - if you've got scans for a character but you don't have enough to make an entire respect thread - send em to me in a PM & we can collaborate with each other & other Viner's to make a nice complete thread for the character in question.

I know we can find respect threads all over the internet - but I don't know how many times I've gone to gather scans from one only to find that all the links are broken & the user is no longer on the website to repair the links. Comic Vine has a wonderful organizational format that makes it's respect threads look clean, neat, and professional.

I'd love for this to be a success - and I'll be taking requests immediately. I'll also have my own list of characters that I personally want to work on that I'll list below.

Thank you, and have a wonderful day.

- Aaron

The Rogues Respect Thread

Hello everyone, I know that there already is a 'Respect the Rogues' thread however I feel as if it needs to be updated & have the formatting fixed a tad, if I'm being out of line by creating this then by all means feel free to remove it, however I hope that this thread can be respected & appreciated by all.

I am still in the process of obtaining some of the scans & information, sections that are still in the works will be marked with a "Coming Soon" banner.

If anyone would like to contribute scans to this thread that have not already been added feel free to PM them to me, that way I can reduce clutter in the comments and can assign all of the feats to the characters they belong to. I will add your name in the "credits" section if you add any contributions in terms of scans or information.

I have comics I am unable to scan at the current date/time, hence why there are so many 'Coming Soon' banners. I just wanted to get this thread started before someone else did :)

If I have miswritten any of the information in this thread feel free to correct me in a PM, once again, reducing clutter in the comments.

3.9 | Mirror Master | Evan McCulloch

Biography

Evan McCulloch was born in Scotland, his parents abandoned him however and he was left on the doorstep of an Orphanage run by a Mrs.McCulloch. At the age of 8 he was sexually assaulted by an older boy at the orphanage, in self defense he drowns the boy in a creek. Evan was never caught for this action and stayed at the orphanage until age 16, leaving with what little belongings he had to begin with.

Evan ran to Glasgow where he took up a life of crime, eventually becoming an assassin, a path that would lead him to become one of the top mercenaries in the United Kingdom. During one of his assignments he suffered an eye injury, thus causing him to wear an eye patch over his left eye, this would later cause a disaster. Evan was given another target for that same afternoon, however the fax of his photo never came through so Evan was only given the location, when Evan arrived he shot his target, later finding out that it was his father.

Evan attended the funeral where he saw his mother, he didn’t talk to her but followed her home to learn where she lived. It took him several weeks to gather up the courage to address her for the first time, but when he walked into her apartment he found that she had committed suicide due to depression caused by the loss of her husband.

Struck by a bad case of grief Evan attempts to turn himself in, however he is given the chance to work for various big businesses and the U.S. Government under the guise of ‘Mirror Master’ and is given Samuel Scudder’s, the first Mirror Master, equipment. Powers & Abilities

The Iron Fist - After defeating the Dragon Shou-Lao the Undying and plunging his hands into the molten heart of the beast he was granted the power of the Iron Fist. This power allows Danny to summon his chi and focus it to augment his abilities to extraordinary levels. By focusing all of his chi energies into his fist it gains a superhuman hardness and becomes impervious to damage.

Chi Abilities - Rand has learned and mastered several chi abilities after being given the The Book of the Iron Fist by his predecessor Orson Randal. These abilities will be listed below.

  • Energy Absorption - Iron Fist can absorb various forms of energy, including radioactivity and explosive blasts ( such as blasts from the mutant, Nitro ).

Martial Arts Abilities - Without his Chi powers Rand is still a master of the K'un Lun martial arts and several of Earth's Martial Arts. He is a registered lethal weapon, and during the Civil War arc was able to prove that his abilities are skill based not power based.

Reflexes & Senses - Iron Fist has sparred against the Invisible Woman and was able to avoid her attacks and seek her out by feeling slight changes in the air current. He can focus his hearing so intensely that he can hear sweat rolling down someones face. With his enhanced Chi abilities he can catch projectiles such as handgun rounds, sniper rounds, and even Captain America's shield. He can then return these items to the sender or to a different target with a powerful chi blast, sending them back even faster then they were originally moving.
