@TheTmac: ok..

Not just very old. Older or about as old as the world, ancient. Compared to a magic singing bird. The so called greatest dark wizard in hp faced 'ancient magic' twice, and got owned both times. And you're putting these people against creatures older than time, or Godlike beings who once created the world?

Edit: No offense, the memes are just used for fun..

Look the bottom line is that Ungoliant has no feats. Ungloiant doesnt have any ancient magic and it certainly didnt create the world and is nowhere near godlike.

@PrinceAragorn1: LOTR dragons might be more impressive than the HP ones but I didnt even mention them. I thought the dragons in HP would be a good counter to the fellbeasts and eagles.

Ungoliant is completely featless and there is nothing to suggest than she is above the phoenix in power your only argument is that she is very old, so until you give me a feat of Ungoliant resisting some sort of magical attack there is no reason to believe that the basilisk stare wont work.

@PrinceAragorn1: God like beings? Please tell me wich feats put Ungoliant at God like being level? There is nothing to suggest that Ungoliant wont be affected by the Basilisk gaze plus the basilsks poison would kill it. Where is it stated that Ungoliant is a disguised god like being?

@Rumble Man: Ok HP has all of the dragons from The Goblet of Fire.@PrinceAragorn1 said:

@TheTmac: Basilisk got his eyes ripped off by a magic bird..

Whats your point? That magic bird was immortal and was immune to its gaze.

@Rumble Man: Ok maybe not the Balrog but I wouldnt really consider him a beast. He is a corrupted Maiar.

@Rumble Man: Yes in 90 % of the matchups, The Wizadrs in LOTR have inferior feats to the ones in HP.
