Great, so they're going to waste another reality on the same well worn and overused characters. Why couldn't they designate earth 2 the Wildstorm universe?
I believe this turn of events epitomizes the definition of Irony; during the 80s the comics industry in the U.K industry was flooded by American comics and an exodus of talent ensued. Now U.K comics are being exported to the U.S.A. Either i moan too much, or could this be history repeating itself?
If Rose isn't Ravager, what then of Jericho or Grant Wilson post reboot? Will Grant be reintroduced as a mainstay villain, or will DC just erase him from continuity? I think the reboot is interesting so far, but i don't like how they've castrated the wildstorm characters and essentially made them foils for DC's protagonists. Jim Lee sold out!
@Abriel: To be fair to him Bendis' early run on new avengers was pretty good. However, from secret invasion onwards its just been mediocre to say the least with story lines that kill off characters for no reason. I was slightly narked by Bendis' treatment of b list characters like Yelena Belova, but the Wasp's death was the last %^£$ing straw. A founding avenger that has been around for roughly forty years (a creation of Stan Lee's for christ sake!) killed in an undignified manner for cheap thrills. It is time for Bendis to admit that he's had a good run and yield the avengers titles to someone like Jason Aaron, Joe Kelly or, (hopefully), an old hand like Peter David.
Am i the only one who thinks that schism has been a blow out thus far? Nowhere near as deep as Civil War politically (Why would Wolverine have qualms about killing when he was in charge of Cyclops' X-Force!). Cable may be the one to reunite mutant-kind upon his return; he possesses equal measures of wolverine's cynicism/realism and Cyclops' Idealism. Hell, i always thought the mutants should be based on Providence rather than utopia anyway.
