If im mistaken didn't Leonidas fight wearing leather breifs in 300 and commando in the graphic novel? So whats the big deal when a male character wore less than her while fighting. Also, DR. MANHATTAN!!! Yeah nuff said.
The problem with the "panties" outfit is that it has been overspecialized for the past few years.
However, Cliff Chiang's new 52 outfit has a higher bust line where they cover the breasts so they wont expose cleavage nor fall out.
@gokuwarrior: I meant that sometimes strength feats can sometimes become inconsistent. And what is the purpose of insane strength feats(like bench pressing the weight of the earth). So the character can look good? Well there are more to superheroes than that. I don't know if you've read new 52 WW but she does have superhero feats in her book.
Super breath
Leaping far distances.
Level a forest
Snapping a flag pole with ease and using it as a pole fault. Then killing a centaur with her bare hands.
Capturing and throwing a god through a dense wall.
Showing great agility and skill against a group of attackers.
Great aim and super sight to shoot a bullet over a great distance.
Can't be WW without the bracelet feat.
Knocking aside boulders with ease.
Swordsmanship and speed capable of keeping up with Hermes.
Even though Artemis was stronger than her, Diana used Artemis strength to propel herself. Using the speed in conjunction with her strength, Diana was able to land a devastating blow and send Artemis crashing to the earth, defeating her.
Now in issue #12 Diana unleashed her full power and overwhelmed Artemis. So even with the cuffs on her smarts is able to defeat the same god that she beat a couple of issues back with the unleashed power.
Flying at super speed.
Also in some leak panels of issue #21, WW created a shock wave from flying into First Born. Then later knowing him into several apartment building.
Whats the whole point of having strength feats when a weaker villain comes along and somehow beats the superhero? Diana does have feats in her own book, but she isn't punching her enemies to the moon. Azz's WW relies on her brain instead of her brawn. Issue #20 was a perfect example of Diana using her brain.
When it comes to strength Superman wins. And when it comes to combat Wonder Woman wins. However in WW #20, WW was able to use Artemis's strength against her and won the match.
She learned this technique from Ares when he said"A clever warrior uses their opponent's weapon against them." Which is a perfect example of that. Also, Diana can now use her god powers to call forth two magic swords. Which would work well against Superman since he is weak against magic
Both Superman and Wonder Woman are already stated as "The world's two most powerful beings" in the new 52. So if they ever fought i'd have to call it a draw or the winner would go to drastic measures to make sure he or she wins the fight.
