The tale begins within a standard America diner. The desert, somewhere hot. A villain named Bushman is seen in a stand-off with Jake Lockley, the apparent hero of the story. Lockley is shot and crawls into an old temple, barley living. A lady appears, running up to Jake shouting "Not like this!". It's then revealed that this is merely a film produced by none other than Mark Spector, AKA Moon Knight! Ooh, shiny 0

This issue focuses on the origins of Colossus. The story begins with the guy in question's brother leavening to join the army. A few months later and Piotr's sibling is dead . This really hurts the hero-to-be, so much that his mutant powers emerge before he passes out in the wilderness. A friend of the family sees this and brings him back home. A bit of a let down 0

The general gist of the plot is quite simple: Spider-Man's aunt May and Betty Brant are captured and, to save the pair, Peter must battle against some of his greatest enemies. In heroic fashion, the Wall Crawler saves the day and the hero wins. From the cover alone, the first ever Amazing Spider-man annual looks pretty cool.
