After looking into the future, (June and July editions of dccomics.com), I have figured out the winner of the Battle For The Cowl. Dick Grayson become Batman. Tim Drake becomes Red Robin. Damian Wayne becomes Robin. Red Robin goes on a global search for Bruce Wayne. There are going to be 6 ongoing Batman series that are in continuity. Batman will continue. Detective Comics will continue with Batwoman and the Question as the stars. Batman and Robin will begin. Red Robin will begin. Batman: Streets of Gotham will begin with new co-star: Manhunter. And a new series called Gotham City Sirens will start starring the women of Gotham City. (Catwoman, Poison Ivy, and Harley Quinn).
Has anyone gone to dccomics.com and looked up the preview covers from June? I seen them and there will be 6 Batman related titles in continuity with each other. Batman, Detective Comics, Batman and Robin, Red Robin, and Gotham City Sirens. I think you might want to check out the covers and summaries.
"Batman died and nobody know where he is. So now like in Superman (back in the 90s, after he died), people are trying to be him and "take the mantle". There should be no Batman. Bruce Wayne is Batman and Bruce is M.I.A. so the Bat Family can go back to their respective duties and leave the idea alone. They didn't have this problem with Captain America, we knew Bucky would be Captain America. But the proteges of Batman have their own jobs. So cancel Batman and have Detective Comics being taken over by the Bat Family."
That might be the most ignorant thing i've heard from a bat-fan ever. No disrespect but honestly, you have to look at it this way, bruce wayne is only human, he's bound to hand off the cloak and cowl at some point, this shows not only that the cloak needs to be passed lest gotham fall into chaos, and that someone on the bat family will need to step up (namely Dick). Furthermore you say they all have there own jobs, but do you think batman would take these people and train them personally all of his techniques for them all to go do there own thing, no, He was grooming a successor. Notice how the major battles in the book have been between the 3 robins, and the potential fourth even (Damien). Your entitled to your opinion, but I personally just don't agree with it"
I must correct you. Damian would be the potential fifth. Stephanie Brown was the official fourth Robin when she replaced Tim when he quit.
I didn't say a woman couldn't strike fear. Huntress, Batwoman, Question, and Batgirl can all do that, but they can't do it with the name Batman. They'd have to take on another name to be taken seriously. I wasn't even thinking of Batgirl when I was takling about the cute thing. Like if one of my 16 year old female friends was to creep up on me and say "I'm Batman." I'm going to think it's cute, not scary. The Bat is a name I didn't think of and does change the perspective of things. But I was only talking about the name of BATMAN.
Also, sexy had nothing to do with the fear thing. I just wanted to say that they were in fact sexy.
I actually like Damian Wayne. My son is named Damian (by coincidence). He seems like the next choice for Robin once, someone becomes Batman. I doubt Tim will stay on as Robin for long.
