The War Between Worlds

I am currently working on a 10 issue mini-series starting at the end of March 2010 for JG Comics. It's called The War Between Worlds and it is a modern version of Marvel vs DC. It is basically the mid-90's JLA going up against a randomly selected team of Avengers. JLA members include: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, the Flash (Wally West), Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner), Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, and Plastic Man. Avengers include: Captain America, Iron Man, Ms. Marvel, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Thor, and Luke Cage. Other guests include, Green Arrow (Oliver Queen), the Atom (Ray Palmer), Firestorm (Ronnie Raymond), Nightwing, Zatanna, Black Canary, Steel, Captain Marvel, the Hulk, Hawkeye, Falcon, Sentry, Wonder Man, War Machine, Black Panther, Yellow Jacket, Amazo, Ultron, and a mystery villain.

have thor beat superman this time like a really close fight but than have thor like hit him with a huge magic blast or something because superman is weak to magic or have thor like go warriors madness

I'm aware.  Just pointing out that if they wanted too, they could. The only way to be 100% safe when using someone elses character is have permission.  
 
So yes you can be sued.

If you use a character without permission from the copyright owner you can be sued, period.  That being said, the odds of them actually pursuing a lawsuit are pretty slim. If anything you'd get a cease and desist letter, but I doubt you'll even get that.

Well so far its just going to be a comic blog. So most likely no art. But my artist might be able to move here by the time I put it out so there might be some art but it won't be a whole comic book.

Be weary because companies can hit you up for lawsuits even if you're not making money on it, but that's only if they want to be hardcore about it.

JG Comics is a non-profit company I created so I cannot be sued. It is basically fan fiction. They're comic blogs, not comic books.
