In an unprepared fight, which this is, Otto wouldn't have a chance. He's a planner and a thinker. Kraven may also be big on traps and whatnot, but his speed and years of hunting experience give him an undeniable edge.

SM2 >> SM1 >> ASM1 >> SM3 >> ASM2. I'm going to rewatch it fairly soon, so I might change that order, but I thought ASM2 was not very good at all. SM3 had some fun schlock and some great fights, but ASM2 was generic at best and a complete train-wreck at worst. They dumped pivotal scenes for being "too violent", spent more time on setting up for sequels than for advancing their own plot, and while Deehan was a good actor the way they did the Green Goblin was an idiotic joke. Even Gwen Stacy annoyed me in ASM2 (Yes, we get that you're independent. Maybe you could show that without getting yourself killed, you whiny moron?). So, my favorite is still by far, SM2.

I'd give a slight edge to Venom. It would be a darn close fight by any standards, but if Spider-man can beat a prepared Green Goblin, I'm pretty sure Thompson could kick the crap out of an unprepared Gobby.

I enjoyed it for the most part, but I still can't quite place how much I liked it. It had so many little flaws that just annoyed the heck out of me, from stuff I was hoping to see from the comics the film was based on, to basic issues with the plot and pacing. Still better than Spider-man 3, but I don't think it holds up to Spider-man 1, 2, or ASM1.

I picked up both issues of this today, and absolutely loved them. They aren't without flaws, sure, but they're just so bright and colorful and fun. Not funny, necessarily. Just... fun. I'm pretty sure that this is the first comic book I've read that I'd qualify that way.

I was actually hoping this turned out to be a dream induced by the events of the events of issue #15 but nope, another fun issue to waste time and keep the plot from being progressed at all. It was certainly worth a few giggles, but I'm so darn sick of having the actual story delayed at this point. 2/5.

Given how middle-of-the-road the Kate focused issues have been, it was great to see Clint back in the spotlight. I hope they focus there, and continue the Clown plot. As it stands, I was getting ready to drop this book but this issue has made me want to stick around for a while longer.

Given that previous battles in The Superior Spider-man were often short and somewhat disappointing, I'm pretty happy that the big fight with the Avengers actually paid off. They were saving the best for last, and it says volumes about how great Goblin Nation has a chance to be.

@muyjingo: I'd agree, but only in the first fight. Batman's thing is always preparation, and while that might be a huge part of Otto's MO as well, he would have the immediate physical advantage in almost every key area. Beyond that, it would be hard to say who would win, as any subsequent fights would take place with both of them having foreknowledge of the other combatant, and they would both prepare accordingly. There would be so many gadget-based counters and counter-counters that it'd be hard to call.

...assuming that Otto doesn't just lose due to his arrogance. That's entirely plausible.

Before a few months ago, I knew almost nothing about Daredevil. I've never seen the movie or anything. But this run of comic books has been absolutely incredible. The artwork is gorgeous, the writing is laugh-out-loud funny, and I genuinely care about Matt Murdock. There are few comic books that I could recommend to everyone all the time, but this absolutely qualifies.
