Hulk Rants: Les Miserables

Hulk HATE Les Miserables. Hulk recently went to see it a few days ago, so Hulk give thoughts. Hulk normally hate musicals, but Hulk heard from all the good reviews that maybe it could be good. Hulk gave it a chance, and Hulk wished he didn't. Hulk went on rampage after the movie because Hulk was angry he wasted money on a crappy (in Hulk's opinion) film. Firstly, Hulk thought it would be another musical where they have normal lines of talking dialogue, then they burst into song number. But that not case with Les Miserables. They sing all lines of ENTIRE movie. Hulk couldn't stand it. Hulk came close to walking out on film. But Hulk still understand movies like these have audience, so if you like Les Miserables and musicals, go ahead and see it. But for Hulk, this is good representation of why musicals Hulk's least favorite form of fiction.

So, yeah, Les Miserables. Hulk didn't like it.

I haven't seen it on principle: I dislike musicals, so this movie is not for me. And can you even BE glad? Wouldn't that just turn you back into Bruce Ban-

Oh, right. Nevermind.

I really did enjoy the film. Though I do wish they would have cut down on singing the lines that didn't need to be sung. Still, it was very well-acted and well made.

There is a non-musical version of Les Miserables (1998) starring Liam Neeson and Geoffrey Rush that's good.

This coming from a guy who loves musicals, I haven't seen this movie yet and nor do I intent to, at least not on theaters for two reasons: its too goddamn long and it has Sacha Baron Cohen in it. Honestly, I don't think Les Miserables needed a musical adaptation, the Liam Neeson movie was far better and had more effective tone than the musical.

I really recommend this movie. The overall tone is very bleak and dark, fitting to the novel. Also Liam Neeson and Geoffrey Rush rock in it.

I absolutely detest musicals (except for Dr. Horrible) so I couldn't care less about Les Mis.
