Hulk Reviews: Mr Peabody and Sherman

No Caption Provided

Today, Hulk will be reviewing Mr. Peabody and Sherman, the new movie from Dreamworks Animation. Hulk don't really remember a lot about Mr. Peabody and Sherman, and Hulk was born in 1962. So, yeah, for those who don't know, Mr. Peabody and Sherman is based off characters from a segment of Rocky and Bullwinkle. The show was about a super-intelligent dog named Mr. Peabody and his adopted son Sherman, and they travel through time.

How does the movie hold up? Well, the movie is actually pretty faithful to the original. It was a lot of fun, and your kids (and you) might even learn a few things about history. So, that adds some educational value. Hulk thought Ty Burrell nailed Mr. Peabody really well. He even did those bad puns he used in the show. But, like in the show, he said them so intellectually, he made them funny.

Hulk am jealous of this freaking dog. He's pretty much perfect. He solved world problems, invented various things, is a business titan, a master of every musical art on Earth. Hulk think it would've been really funny if they said he also invented the Iphone. They should've done that.

Sherman is also very charming, the adopted boy. Hulk also like that unlike the show, where Peabody treats Sherman like his pet in a dog-human relationship, here, he actually tries hard to be a good father. Hulk like that aspect. Also, thumbs up to Patrick Warburton as the leader of those guys that fought in the Trojan War (Hulk will have to re-learn a little history later).

But, Hulk have one criticism. They go through a lot of points in history. Ancient Egypt, the French Revolution and a lot of other places. Hulk am not bothered by this all that much since the movie was quite good, but they ignored the dinosaur times. Hulk would've loved a scene where Peabody and Sherman have to fend off a T-Rex in prehistoric times.

So, yeah, Mr. Peabody and Sherman, great update of a classic show, funny, quite touching at times, too. Hulk recommend it

.NOW HULK WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!

DID YOU SEE MR PEABODY AND SHERMAN? DID YOU LIKE IT? IF NOT, DO YOU WANT TO SEE IT?

Hulk Reviews: Windows 8.1

No Caption Provided

Wow. So, OK, this is going to be Hulk's first tech review. Hulk am a little excited to be doing something new. So, today, Hulk will be reviewing the operating system from Microsoft. Windows 8.1

No Caption Provided

A few days ago, Hulk upgraded to Windows 8.1 from Windows 8, and let Hulk tell you. Hulk love it SO MUCH better than Windows 8. It is an awesome operating system in a lot of ways. It has flaws, but it still great. Hulk will say as soon as Hulk upgraded, Hulk got 2 new apps. There's a health and fitness app, and a food app. Hulk think this is great. Hulk have not fully tried the food one yet.

Hulk will say that Hulk wish there was a way to access some apps on the tablet mode screen and access the apps in windowed modes on a desktop. Maybe that would change people's attitudes towards Windows 8 in general. Hulk will say that people who think the interface sucks just because it's not what they're used too, well, of course. It's called "advancement of technology." Because the thing is, tablets are slowing gaining ground and have made PCs lose sales a tiny bit, and this is Microsoft's response to that + wanting to compete with Apple. So, Hulk say it's about time they get in the game.

One of the most common criticisms is the fact that they forgot about people who work in offices and businesses, feeling like it takes longer to do stuff than it did in previous Windows. Well, Hulk can agree with that in some aspects. This Windows is definitely intended or the average, run-of-the-mill consumer. So, while Hulk really love Windows 8.1, Hulk don't really recommend it for a business environment. It's proven by the fact that most apps are for entertainment purposes, because there's Games, Skype, and Music Apps. But, if you want a laptop for fun, go for it.

Also, they brought back the start logo, which takes you tablet mode, which is what Hulk call the app screen with the games and maps and Store. Although, it's no longer flagged shape. It's just a straight, white window, much like a real window. Kind of fits Microsoft's intentions.

No Caption Provided

So, overall, Hulk think that if you are an average consumer who just wants a computer for fun, go for it, it'll suit your needs well. BUT, if you work for a business and need to do actual work, you should probably look elsewhere.

NOW HULK WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!!

Do you have Windows 8 or 8.1? Do you like it? Why or why not?

Hulk Reviews: Uncle Grandpa

No Caption Provided
No Caption Provided

Hulk have been honestly wanting to do this review for a while. Hulk have quite a few things to say about this show. It's called Uncle Grandpa. It's on Cartoon Network right now. It's getting a lot of hatred for how weird and crazy it is (what's wrong with that?). Hulk agree to an extent. This is not a very good show, but you know what...Hulk kind of liked it in some weird way. Keep in mind, Hulk will be using that word a lot because that's exactly what this show is. It is one of the weirdest shows Hulk has ever seen.

Hulk know some of you wondering, "Don't just say it's weird. Tell us what it's about." Well, it stars a character called Uncle Grandpa. He's everyone in the world's Uncle AND Grandpa (how is that possible). He for some reason has the power to warp reality and mold his body into different forms and stuff. Oh, and he has a removable head. He's basically if you took The Mask and took the green off him and made him a moron.

Now, his friends include a sentient pizza called Pizza Steve (Hulk actually think that's a good idea for a character). He has an arrogant attitude and claims he is good at a lot of things when he is really not.

There's also Mr Gus. A dinosaur who is millions of years old and is generally unimpressed with Uncle Grandpa's adventures, having seen everything. He always seems to have a bored expression on his face (though he has been getting more active in later episodes).

And there's Giant Realistic Flying Tiger, a photo of an actual tiger made into a character. She can fly.

Hulk will say about the actual show, Hulk think it's actually quite visually...interesting. Hulk actually kind of enjoyed it because of how weird it is. Every time it did something stupid, Hulk would say, "OK, what can they do to top this?" And they did. The show, while surprisingly interesting because of the weirdness, Uncle Grandpa has his own catchphrase Hulk thought was shockingly catchy.

"GOOD MORNING!"

So, yeah, if you like crazy weird humor, you may get something out of this. But, if you prefer your cartoons with logic and actual "sense", you are in the wrong show. But, if you want crazy weird humor but actual writing, too, watch Chowder.

NOW HULK WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!

Do you like Uncle Grandpa? What is your opinion on it?

Hulk's Thoughts: New Godzilla Trailer

Hulk have been talking a lot about the Godzilla 2014 reboot, and for a good reason. It is Hulk's most anticipated movie of the year. Hulk look forward to it a LOT more than Amazing Spiderman 2, more than Captain America 2, and WAY more than Guardians of the Galaxy. Why is Hulk talking about it again? Well, it's because a new trailer came out for it. Hulk thought it was amazing. Hulk love the dark tone that it is trying to take. They want you to see how people would react if Godzilla attacked the city in real life, and Hulk think that's a great way to go. Hulk love the look of Godzilla, what little we saw of him, he looked like Godzilla and not how he did in the 98 version. Why is Hulk telling you? Hulk should be SHOWING you.

Now Hulk want to hear from you!

What did you think of the trailer? How much are you looking forward to it on a scale of 1-10?

Hulk Reviews: Robocop (2014)

No Caption Provided

Today, Hulk will be reviewing Robocop. People have been really worried about this movie. They are worried that it will taint the essence of the original 1987 classic. Well, Hulk will tell you this: For those that are fighting that good fight about the original, don't worry about it. This remake is actually pretty good. This is a remake that tries.

No Caption Provided

Hulk don't want to tell you the plot (Spoiler reasons), but Hulk will say this. It does respect the original in a lot of ways. The theme song is there, all the classic lines are there, most of the stuff from the original is there (not all of it, but plenty). Hulk was actually really impressed by it. It did what few big-budget action movies do nowadays: it made Hulk feel. It made Hulk feel bad for Alex Murphy and what he was going through as Robocop. Hulk think while it's not as good as the original, it at least tries. Hulk was expecting to tolerate the black suit, but it genuinely began to grow on Hulk.

Joel Kinnaman does a servicable role as Robocop, and Michael Keaton is OK as the villain, not great, but a decent job. But, Samuel L. Jackson, boy Hulk loved him as Pat Novak, the talk show host. Everytime he was on-screen, Hulk thought, "You know what, Jackson should be the one playing Robocop. He's awesome just being a talk-show host."

It also made Hulk not really want to have machines patrolling the streets in the future. Hulk won't give away what happens in the opening, but it is surprising.

So, the film is doing reasonably well at the box office, it reached its budget of $100 million. So, Hulk think for the inevitable sequel, they should bring back Clarence Boddicker as the villain. Hulk did not see the original, but Hulk heard he was a truly sinister jerk. Hulk feel he would make a great villain for the sequel. Have Russel Crowe or Bruce Willis play him or something. They have yet to have villain roles as far as Hulk know.

Now Hulk want to hear from you!

Did you see Robocop 2014? Do you want to? If you got turned into Robocop, what would be the first thing you'd do?

Hulk Reviews: The LEGO MOVIE + An idea for the sequel

No Caption Provided

Today, Hulk am reviewing THE LEGO MOVIE.

No Caption Provided

EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!! Hulk am serious. Everything about this movie is great. From the cast, to the beautiful stop-motion of the LEGOS, it's just, everything about this movie is great. This movie brought Hulk back to the good old days when Hulk would play with LEGOs. It just made Hulk feel like a kid again. Only 2 movies have done this to date: This and Pacific Rim. So, yeah, Chris Pratt is great as Emmet, and Hulk expected him to be a total idiot, but he's actually quite a likeable person. Elizabeth Banks and Will Arnett are great as Batman and Wyldstyle, and yeah, Will Ferrel, Hulk never though Will Ferrel would make a good villain, but he did as Lord Business. Let's not forget Morgan Freeman's brilliant performance as the wizard, Virtruvius (however you pronounce his name).

Plus, not only were the action sequences fun to watch, but Hulk don't want to give away too much, but let's just say at the end, it takes a turn Hulk didn't expect it to. It is funny, action-packed, goes to a place where it gets dark at times, and Hulk actually found it touching by the end. This was a big surprise for Hulk. Hulk was expecting it to be a typical comedy movie that's good, but not amazing. This movie exceeded Hulk's expectations. This is one of the few movies where they got everything completely 100% right.

Should you go see it? Heck yes. And then when you get home, go play with the LEGOS, the toys, if you have any.

However, Hulk's only criticism is the fact that a certain LEGO brand involving superheroes (NOT DC) was not included in the movie.

Now, Hulk have pretty much said everything Hulk could without spoilering anything. Also, Hulk know that since this movie is making so much money, Hulk am expecting a sequel. So, here's an idea Hulk have for it:

An ancient war is re-ignited between two races of BIONICLES: The heroic Toa and the evil Makuta, and Emmet and his team have to join forces with the Toa to stop the Makuta from destroying the LEGO world.

That would be a cool movie!

NOW HULK WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!

Did you see THE LEGO MOVIE? Do you want to? Do you or Did you play with LEGOS at all?

Hulk Rants: What's taking a big-budget Power Rangers movie so long?

No Caption Provided

This one is going to be a quick one. Hulk don't really care all too much about this one, but it is something interesting for Hulk to think about. Hulk and Thor were talking earlier today about all the geek franchises that have yet to have big-budget movies, such as He-Man, Voltron and Captain Planet, and Thor brought up Power Rangers, and it kind of did make Hulk think a little: What is taking so long for it to happen?

We have big-budget movies based off several beloved properties. Transformers has 3 and another coming up, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be getting one, heck, even GI Joe has 2 and a possible 3rd one coming soon. With this trend of rebooting stuff, you'd think they would've done Power Rangers already. It's a confusing thing.

So, yeah, Power Rangers fans actually do in fact want a Power Rangers movie that reboots the original show into a 2-hour, $200 million budget, PG-13 movie, but nothing yet. It'll probably happen in the future, but you'd think they would've done it already. Especially after Pacific Rim came out.

Hulk am not really a Power Rangers fan, however, Hulk would be open to the idea of that. Especially with the big robot, the Megazord. Yeah.

Now Hulk want to hear from you?

What do you think is the hold-up for a big-budget Power Rangers movie? Do you want one to happen? Why or why not?

Hulk's Top 5: American franchises that should have Japanese versions.

Hulk have taken a lot of thought lately into Japanese film franchises being converted into American films. We see it all the time. From The Eye, to Dragonball Evolution, 2 Godzilla movies, and the upcoming Edge of Tomorrow (based off a Japanese manga). It left Hulk thinking: Why doesn't Japan try to adapt an American franchise? The only 2 that Hulk of that have done it are Spider-Man and Paranormal Activity:

Japanese Spiderman

Japanese Paranormal Activity

So, Hulk have created a list of American franchises that should have Japanese Adaptations

Number 5: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

No Caption Provided

This would actually make a lot of sense. Especially considering the turtles are learning a Japanese style of combat and the fact that they're fighting a Japanese villain. Hulk think it would be interesting to see what Japan could do with this.

Number 4: Alien or Predator

No Caption Provided

Hulk personally think that either one of these movies may actually make an interesting Japanese remake. Some of the Predator weapons Preadator uses makes Hulk think of samurais at times. Hulk think it would be cool.

Number 3: Superman

No Caption Provided

Well, we always tinker with Japan's most famous characters, why not let them try to take on one of ours? Hulk don't know how popular Superman is in Japan. But, if he's not, then maybe a Japanese remake of Superman would boost his popularity there.

Number 2: King Kong

No Caption Provided

Yes, Hulk know they have a version of King Kong in King Kong vs Godzilla. But, Hulk am talking the real King Kong. Our version. The True King Kong. Hulk would love to see Kong climbing up the Tokyo Tower (or that bigger tower they replaced it with recently, the Tokyo Sky Tree). Hulk think it would be truly fascinating to see Japan take on America's most famous American-made monster.

And NUMBER 1: The American franchise Hulk want to see adapted into Japanese:

THE HULK!

No Caption Provided

Bet you weren't expecting this one were you? Hulk want to see Hulk get a Japanese version. Hulk would love to see how another country would portray Hulk's amazing likeness. Plus, like Superman, Hulk don't know how popular Hulk and other Marvel people are in Japan, so maybe if they're not, it could boost popularity. That would be cool.

NOW HULK WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!

Do you agree with this list? What American franchise would you want to see an Japanese adaptation of?

Hulk's Top 5: Most Anticipated Movies of 2014

Welcome to Hulk's Top 5. 2014's film line-up is officially getting better, so Hulk will tell you the top 10 movies Hulk am looking forward to the most from 5 to 1.

Number 5. The Lego Movie

If you grew up playing with LEGOS, you know you're looking forward to this. Hulk am honestly surprised it took this long to make a LEGO theatrical film and as of right now, critics are absolutely loving it, it's got 100% on Rotten Tomatoes at the moment (NOT KIDDING!). Plus, Hulk did love LEGOS growing up, so Hulk will go see it.

Number 4. Need for Speed

The movie based off the video game franchise. Hulk really love the video game franchise, so Hulk am incredibly skeptical of this movie, because video game movies range from either mediocre to outright s**tty. So, Hulk am nervous, but Hulk will give it a chance.

Number 3: Robocop

While Hulk am really pumped for this one, personally, a lot of fans of the original film and some fans of the first sequel are really skeptical of it and are really nervous about it. But, Hulk think this will be good. No Critics reviewed it yet, but Hulk hear that some people who saw advanced screenings actually really liked it, so Hulk am sure it'll be good.

Number 2: Transformers: Age of Extinction

Yeah, the Transformers movies are far from masterpieces, but you know what? Hulk love this series. It's what got Hulk into the franchise as a whole, ranging from the original cartoon to the recent Transformers: Prime Cartoon. Plus, Hulk don't really go for a story. Hulk go to watch giant robots smash each other, and these movies deliver on that. Plus, the Dinobots. When it comes to Dinobots, your argument is invalid.

And finally, the most anticipated movie of 2014 for Hulk. The movie Hulk look forward to more than any other in 2014.

Number 1: GODZILLA!!!

Heck yeah. Hulk am a HUGE Godzilla fan. Hulk never got to see a Godzilla movie in the theater, and this will be Hulk's first time. Hulk can't wait to see the Big G's awesome force of destruction on the big screen. Plus, it could take away the stereotype that Godzilla movies are nothing more than cheap camp. Hulk can't wait to see cities get smashed to pieces by the monster's might, and it will highly likely do away with the stain that the 1998 Godzilla film left. That's why it's Hulk most anticipated film of the year.

NOW HULK WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!!!

Do you agree with this list? If not, what would you pick?

Hulk Rants: Godzilla without a Super Bowl Trailer?!

No Caption Provided

Why the heck didn't they put up a Godzilla trailer for the Super Bowl? It was confirmed that Transforrmers Age of Extinction, Captain America, and Hulk hear Robocop will all get Super Bowl Trailers. Guess which one isn't.

DING! WE GOT A WINNER!
DING! WE GOT A WINNER!

Why didn't Legendary put up a Super Bowl trailer for Godzilla? Hulk get that sometimes marketing a film takes time and money, but it's all worth it in the end when people go to see your film. Do you know how big an opprotunity they let fly over their heads? Hulk am talking about the SUPER BOWL! One of the most famous American traditions. Everybody tunes into it. Movie trailers are shown in between the big game during half-time. DO YOU WANT people to see your movie or not? Hulk think this was a bone-headed move, and Hulk think they should just get something out on the Super Bowl. Hulk don't think it's going to ruin the movie's box office performance, but Hulk do think it would've severely helped.

Say what you will about the crappy 1998 Godzilla film, but one of the few good things about it was the soundtrack and more importantly, the marketing. They marketed the crap out of that movie. You could not get away from it, and that helped that film do really well at the box office. Hulk wished this film would do the same (in marketing), but it is not to be.

NOW HULK WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!

What Super Bowl trailer do you most look forward to? Do you think Godzilla should've gotten a Super Bowl trailer?
