@onyxartist: I hated it for the longest time through listening to the storylines from other people who was reading it. Picked up a couple of the UK reprints of the issues though and have actually come to really like it. Still really badly want Peter to return and kick the living snot out of Otto but I'm enjoying it while it lasts. As others have suggested, try the first TPB and see how you like it from there.

@falconer: You want her fans to rage like they did the last time?

People raging on the internet, what a surprise. That being said, anyone that is a genuine fan of this book needs to... no longer exist.

And that's your opinion. I'm personally enjoying this book and by some of the comments on here, it would seem others are as well. But I doubt anyone will as forceful in sharing their opinion as yourself.

Calling it. Babs will become Oracle again (only not crippled this time) and either Cassie or Steph will take over.

Hopefully Steph. I know most would say Cassandra, but I couldn't really get into Cass as Batgirl, and I loved Steph's run with Babs helping behind the scenes so I'd personally love to see that back. If Babs did give up and it happened to be Cass to take over I'd likely still give it a go. I'd still be interested to see that.

My mum supports it. Don't think she understands it, but she's supportive anyhoo. My sister's a casual fan and I recently got my mate into reading comic books. Not quite at getting monthly titles yet with him, just TPDs so far, but give it time. However, I'm lucky enough to have quite cool friends and while most of them don't read the comics, they do like the games and movies based on comic characters, and look to me for more info about the characters as required. I'm a walking comic encyclopedia to them.

What I would say to anyone who isn't supportive of it? Screw them. I enjoy it and I couldn't care less if I have their approval. As long as it makes you happy, why care what others think?

@X9 Wonder Woman isn't wearing high heels in the n52. Also, I don't consider this to be the reunion of the Batfamily since Cassandra Cain isn't there.

It is a reunion of the Batfamily, with all the present member being there, including Jason. I'm getting a little bit bored by all the complaints about missing characters in the DCnU. There's characters I miss, namely Stephanie Brown and Wally West, but I'm not going to complain at every turn about them not appearing. I'm enjoying the stories for what they are. These characters will come back, but I want it to be organic, and not feel forced due to fan demand.

To stay on topic, it seems like an artist thing. She doesn't seem to have them in her solo series. and it doesn't bother me. Like others have mentioned, we are discussing a universe where people have superpowers, there are aliens and clones and an intergalactic police force, so I don't think practicality has a place here, and becomes an invalid argument point.

Couldn't believe this when I heard the news. Really sad news. RIP Michael Clarke Duncan.

Preferred Marvel growing up, much like yourself, but am now more of a DC fan. And much like yourself it was Batman that brought me into the fold, but have since branched out with Superman, Green Lantern and, since the New 52, Aquaman and Wonder Woman. I pick up about 30-45 comics each month and I swear that there's only about 5 or 6 that are Marvel. And outside of The Darkness, the rest are DC.

Disagree with OP, agree with ImmortalOne. You focus only on one character from Marvel in particular, and by extent the rest of the FF, but you fail to mention a lot of characters who have remained the same in all of the years of their creation. Hulk, Captain America, Spidey, they've all remained pretty much the same. Granted some of them, Spider-Man in particular, have changed but they always end up changing back. Spidey had the black costume, Iron Spider, the Future Foundation, and the Big Time suits, but he always goes back to the same design. So he essentially is doing what DC do with characters, Batman in particular.

I love both companies but for the past year or two, DC has been my go to company for comics. In fact, I wrote a blog on it months ago (not posting a link because it's old and boring) to explain the reasons for it. So don't say you speak for us all when clearly you speak for yourself, you sound like a tool.

Oh, and Spider-man example:

Are titles definitely getting cancelled? I read an article on this over at IGN as well and they said they confirmed with DC that none of the current titles are being cancelled. Not that I doubt CV, but I'd just like confirmation. I really hope they don't though. I don't see why they need to stick to 52 titles other than they advertise the books as "The New 52".

With the Zatanna thing, isn't she roughly the same age as Dick in the mainstream universe? If not, a few years older? That would fit here with Dick still being Robin and him being the youngest member of the team. So yeah it's younger than she is in the comics, but at the same time, Dick and Wally are younger here as well.

Blackest Night was what really sucked me in with Green Lantern as well. I enjoyed Secret Origin, Rage of the Red Lanterns and Agent Orange, but Blackest Night kicked all sorts of ass. Reading each issue, you were never sure who was going to be resurrected next, or who was going to die etc. And I found that the Green Lantern tie-in issues went perfectly with the main series, something that event tie-ins don't always do eg. Flashpoint: Hal Jordan. I'm pretty sure they spoiled the last issue of that in Flashpoint #4, which was released before it and it was kind of annoying. I don't think I ever read the last part of the Hal Jordan tie-in. Back to what I was saying, Geoff Johns tends to always get me hooked on whatever her's writing, like the recent Aquaman and GL.
