@johnkmccubbin91: I know Knightfall is a big inspiration for Rises, which is why I think I should read it. I think I'll love War of the GLs simply because Geoff Johns wrote it (I actually have the first comic of the story, just want to wait to get the whole thing). I have heard horrible things about AvX, but I'd still like to read it. It can't be as bad as people say it is.

Knightfall is brilliant (big inspiration for DKRises), War of Green Lanterns was also brilliant. What I've read of JLA was very good, and All-Star Superman is also brilliant. AvX was however at best average, but with a good ending (it would have been better shortened)
