Movies that need a reboot

Title speaks for itself.

List items

  • A good DD movie could rival the Batman franchise.

  • I had suck high hopes for this when I first heard about it. It was my first comic book movie. At the time, I thought it was awesome. Then, I got older and learned more. Now, just no.

  • Just get Nicholas Cage off of this and reboot it.

  • I know what you're thinking. Another one? Once they do a good one, then we'll stop asking for one.

  • Now, I LOVE the X-men franchise (except for First Class). X-men: The Last Stand is one of my favorite movies. But it's looking less and less likely that they're going to make an X-men 4. I loved the Wolverine movie and I'm looking forward to The Wolverine (especially since it takes place after the Last Stand). But I don't want to see the franchise continue if they're just going to keep doing prequels with continuity errors (yeah, I'm talking about you First Class!) and solo Wolverine movies. So, I think rebooting it is the best thing. Which sucks, because the casting was so perfect.

  • I know there's no chance of this happening. But please, if you're going to reboot something as awesome as the original Spider-man series, do it right. Don't give us this debacle.

I agree with 1-4. No to 5-6. Not a big fan of the original three Spider-Man films, specifically the third. Same goes with the original three X-Men films. I felt X-Men first class and Amazing Spider-Man were 10x better than all three of the X-Men movies and all three of the Spider-Man films which I found to be really kind of bland. Plus better casting for ASM.

Um......

First Class absolutely sucked. The only good thing was Magneto. Aside from the bad plot and writing, there are SO many continuity errors.

The Amazing Spider-man was just wrong in so many ways.

@Ironhawk22: Not trying to be rude. I respect your opinion, I just strongly disagree.

@TheCannon: What? While the Magneto parts of the film were clearly the best, I thought the film all in all was amazing. First Class was clearly a reboot, sure there were few things that tied it to the O3 X-Men movies, but overall it's a totally different film from X1-X3 so I didn't really think about any of the "continuity issues". Luckily for you it seems like DOFP will be more or less X4. I too respect you're opinion but completely disagree about ASM and FC.

Yeah but the rest need a reboot.

I agree with 1, 3, 4, 5. The reboot of Fantastic Four can only be worse. And I don't even want to think about possible reboot of Spider-Man.

Not to be rude, but what would be so bad about an FF reboot?

I agree with Ironhawk except about X-Men, I've loved all 5 movies thus far. Amazing Spider-Man (this is my opinion, you don't have to agree) gave us a truer Peter Parker than Rami ever did.

1) He was a genius, something Rami only alluded to, never demonstrated in 3 movies.

2) Webshooters: This was a huge mis-step in the original series. It was cool watching him develope, design, use and see destroyed at the end of the movie limiting his offensive capabilities.

3) Wise guy: Toby was never the smart alec Spider-man that he could have been. Everything seemed forced when he tried.

4) His Parents: Not once in 3 movies did Sam Rami give a reason (a real reason) that Peter was living with his Aunt and Uncle.

I agree with Ironhawk that 5-6 shouldn't get rebooted. Don't agree with his opinion on the original X-Men and Spider-Man films, but I agree with that's he's basically saying: 5-6 don't need a reboot.

And why no Green Lantern? That movie was OK, but Hal Jordan needs a much better introduction.
