But he was a main bad guy in a good chunk of the avengers earth's mightiest heroes tv show, so a lot of people are taking that as a reason. Popularizing the character in the series for the sake of his being in the movie makes sense, kinda.

I understand wanting to referece other villains, like Kang,Thanos, and Ultron, but I don't know why anyone would say Loki has Kang's army.
