How? Prime can't land a single punch on Gladiator. Kallark has FASTER THAN LIGHT reaction times. Prime doesn't even approach that level. He's so far off FTL reaction times it's not even on the horizon.

@supermandefender: Superman does not have FTL reaction speeds. He has FTL travel speed, not reaction speed. He can speed blitz, but not to the level of Sufer. Surfer is FTL travel AND reaction speed. I thought this was common knowledge?

Fighting Prime whilst moving at FTL does not mean they have FTL reaction speeds. They are just travelling FTL and trading punches as they go. Prime doesn't have FTL reaction speed either.

This is laughable. Gladiator all day every day. Even without the uni power, at full confidence he takes prime. he's just too fast. he speed blitzes prime before prime can even react. now prime can speed blitz too, but gladiator is FTL in speed and reflexes, prime isn't. kallark approaches silver surfer/flash levels in this regard.

with the uni power on top... he takes prime quite easily.

Edit: I've noticed someone bringing up Gladiators Baxter Building feat. That was what? Decades ago. Kallark has had power ups since then.

Surfer is too fast for post crisis superman. he's as fast as the flashes. he can just keep his distance and hit supes with planet busting energy bolts.

@JaYDaFuRy: Hulk can heal from any wound in seconds, consistently. Deadpools yo-yos a bit, it isn't as consistent.

@Vance Astro:  Your argument defending Wolverine is weak. That's why I said he's the Batman of the MU. He's beats people when he has no right to. Like i said, he puts up good fights against guys like Hulk, when guys like Thor get flattened by him. Wolverine wins fights simply because he is Wolverine, not because of logic.

Anyway back to the topic...

In 99% of cases that i've experienced when someone says they hate Deadpool it's simply because they think he is a shallow, motormouth with swords and guns. I ask them if they have read Mark Waid's mini series, Joe Kellys or Gail Simones run they say no. Proving their ignorance. I mean, Joe Kellys Deadpool run is practically universally praised as one of the best things to come out of Marvel in the god awful 90s.

Now if someone has read those examples and still doesn't like Deadpool I wouldn't have a problem. But the people who haven't then say they hate Deadpool are just ignorant. It's like me never reading a Batman comic and going "A guy who dresses up in grey PJs with black underwear on the outside to scare people? HAR HAR that's lame!" or never reading a Wolverine comic and going "A guy who can't die? What's the point of that? lame!"

To be fair though Ryan Renolds has it spot on. It wasn't a Deadpool movie, it was a Wolverine movie. And Wade Wilson and Weapon XI served their purposes to the plot. Deadpool being in Wolverine at all was simply a tip of the hat to the fans and a way to test the waters to see if he would have an audience for his own movie. And with the massive backlash against Weapon XI and the praise for Wade Wilson, it proves there is an audience there.

@Vance Astro:  care to explain what is wrong with it? i'm not wrong about daredevil, i KNOW that. And i'm not wrong about Deadpool vs Taskmaster either. And I'm not wrong about Taskmasters skill level. He SHOULD beat a lot of guys he loses to, but he doesn't, simply because he isn't A-List.

And Wolverine? I think out of the dozen or so times they have fought Deadpool has come out on top in most occasions. Wolverine is not only overrated as a character, he's overrated as a fighter. He's the Batman of the MU. Translated: He wins fights or puts up good fights when logic says he has no right to. I mean, he puts up better fights against Hulk than Thor does.

@deadpool101: thats cool, not everyone knows everything! it was back in deadpools original solo series, think it was in the 60s(issue number not decade! lol). Funeral for a Freak was the name of the story arc. Basically Thanos the Mad Titan has a crush on the embodiment of Death. But Death has a crush on Deadpool. So Thanos uses T-Ray to curse Deadpool with life so he can never die and be with Death. Pretty ridiculous, but that's comics for ya! *shrug*

@DoomDoomDoom:  Hmm i dunno, maybe. Cable was probably at about the same level Deadpool was to comic fans and comic noobs on a grand scale. But Cable brought along the X-Fans, and there is tons of them.
