My wife never saw the show so we recently watched it through Netflix.  I hadn't seen the Trickster episodes before.  They're basically the birth of Hamil's Joker voice.

The show was okay- the only complaint was the effects.  Flash seemed too stiff and never really looked athletic when he was running or moving.  But overall I recommend fans check it out.  They name drop Gorilla Grodd and Professor Zoom and there are other references to DC creators and characters.

@MKF30:
Arguing that Welling has to be in a Superman movie is as valid as saying that Dean Cain has to be in one.

Using Smallville as a reference for Superman fandom misses the mark as well.  For every Smallville fan, there's a Superman fan who hates the show.  Personally, I wanted to like it, but it got too boring too quickly.  From what I hear now, he's still doing the, "what should I do?" crap.  I even saw a pic showing Supergirl has made it into the show, but he's yet to put on the suit himself?  So... does that mean Superman, the flagship hero in the DCU, has been relegated to being a copycat of his copycat?  What will people say when he's revealed to the public in that universe?  Most likely, "Why's this guy dressing like Supergirl?"

God, words cannot describe how disappointed I am. Fans don't want a rehash of a previous film they want a new story, a new villain. Why all recent Superman films have been trying to follow Donner's Superman films I have no idea. This just makes me ... MAD!!!!!!!!! (Turns green with anger)

Agree 100%.  They just don't get it.  Even Mongul and War World would be better than another Zod story.

"There's mention of the movie having a "connection to Richard Donner's 'Superman' films"

Why???  LET THEM GO PEOPLE!  For crying out loud, why can't we have a reboot?  Is this some kind of Chris Reeve love or something?  Yeah, he was a great Superman.  But he's dead now and it's time to move on.

Didn't Warner Bros. learn anything from Christopher Nolan?  How would Batman Begins have gone if he felt it necessary to connect it to 1989's Batman?

"If you restrict sales of video games, you’re chipping away at our First Amendment rights to free speech...take a stand and defend both the First Amendment and the rights of computer and video game artists.”

Malarky.  Stan might be good at creating super heroes, but he should leave the interpretation of the bill of rights to people who understand it.

There is nothing that says "free speech" can't be limited.  Just yell, "Fire" in a crowded theater and see what happens.

There is nothing that says you can't restrict access of children to certain materials.  Have a 15 y/o try to buy beer and see what happens.

No "computer and video game artists" are having their work "censored" in any way, shape or form.  That's like saying that pornography is "censored" because it can't be sold to kids.  Obviously, it's restricted, but the vision of the artist isn't changed.  If an artist wants to reach a larger audience in order to make more money, then they may change their work so that it can be so- but the driving force of that censorship is their own greed.

Again, this is simply outrage for the sake of outrage.  People are complaining that they can't sell violent images to children, period.  I could care less about their  "plight."

"This game technically, under that law, would be banned. "

No, no it wouldn't.

I realize there are probably alot of under 18 y/o kids here, but there is a difference between saying someone has to be of an age to do something and saying that something can't be done.  The games aren't banned, they are restricted.

That makes this statement, "Why not let parents be parents. Let them decide what is right for their child." extremely ironic.  These restrictions actually DO "let parents be parents."  If a kid wants a game, they have to literally ask their parent to get it for them, leaving the purchase itself completely at the parent's discretion.  In other words, it's "letting parents be parents."  Obvoiusly, there are ways around this, but the "outrage" is pathetic.  It reeks of people just wanting something to complain about.  This is COMPLETELY different than say, a lawyer trying to outright ban GTA.

I think this article misses the point.

Batman wetting himself?  That's just typical Kevin Smith "humor."  Why not talk about the extremely crappy back and forth with Silver St. Cloud?  "DeeDee"???  Mr. Smith is stuck in perpetual adolescence.

You like the "hairy" type right? Or is it because he's short?

I'm both short and hairy.  But I'm taken. :)
