Half-Man....Half-Reptile.... 0

We had a little break with the new villains on the last issue so now they create a new worthy villain that would go on to become yet another top-of-the-line Spider-Man villains: The Lizard! His alter ego, Dr. Curt Connors is a good man and would also go on the become a very fine supporting cast member in the Spider-man universe. This is fun stuff. Stan/Steve provide us with one good scene after another as we jump from Liz Allan's sudden crush on Spider-Man to Spidey hanging J. Jonah Jameson from ...

Destruction By Doctor Doom 0

This was the first issue in the title to feature an already existing villain going up against Spider-Man. Maybe they had to take a break from trying to create a new villain, You really couldn't find a better villain in the Marvel Universe for Spidey to face off against. Doom has always been the most feared villain in the history of the Marvel Universe and at the top of the Rogues Gallery of villains for the Fantastic Four but Spider-Man versus Dr. Doom seems like a little mismatch. Its the First...

Nothing Can Stop The Sandman Is Right! 0

Yet another major villain introduced in the series and "Nothing Can Stop The Sandman" is the perfect tittle for this one as its the first look at this new, seemingly invincible villain, you just believe it! Liz, by the way, has been around since Amazing Fantasy #15, but this is the first time she is actually given a name and shows interest in peter parker. The Sandman is pretty cool and Ditko's drawings of the different shapes he assumes are great but the issue doesn't quite reach the heights of...

Doc Ock!!!! 0

This one introduces one of spideys greatest villain of all time, In the cover you see a menacing Doctor Octopus holding Spider-Man limb by limb looking like he is ready to take him apart. The story inside is actually not too far from this whole impression as he is the first to ever actually defeat spider-man. Doctor Otto Octavius works at the Atomic Research Center on the outskirts of town and is the most intelligent researcher in that country. He is also nicknamed "Doctor Octopus" for reason th...

The Vulture's First Appearance! 1

Another two story issue for Spider-Man's second issue both featuring the introduction of a new villain that will both play a major role in Spider-Man's history. "The Vulture" has had more of an impact on Spider-Man's life and will soon become of his greatest foes, than the "Terrible Tinkerer" who i kind of dislike, but both are very important characters. The first story begins as The Vulture swoops around the city stealing valuables in an easy fashion. This is where Peter first gets the idea gett...

Two great stories in one! 0

This issue features two different story's in one that was promised back in amazing Fantasy #15. These are two great stories that are both entertaining and historically significant. The first story introduces for the very first time the Jameson Family (J. Jonah and his son John). After a full seven months later after his last appearance, Peter Parker recalls his origin on how he became Spider-Man and the capture of the Burglar that murdered his Uncle Ben. The action of the story begins later as J...
