The Dragon God (under construction, will be improved and added upon as I move from just a concept to a more concrete idea)
Ryujin, or the Dragon God as some call him, is one of the Ancient Gods, is an embodiment of one of the Elemental Planes of existence. Ryuujin counts Cizin embodiement of Darkness Quetzalcoatl; the embodiement of light, Gaea, the incarnation of earth, Imasura; mistress of air, and Tartarus, lord of fire as his equals first and foremost, though there are other primal gods who embody similar elemental concepts, such as Mulcarn, lord of the Paraelemental plane of Ice. He came into being as the universe and the planes of existence did, being spawned forth by the Elemental plane of Water to be it's avatar, it's embodiment, it's ruler. Thus, he is the literal embodiment of all elemental water across the universe.
Ryujin is the lord of the sea, the greatest of the gods of the water, and the god of all dragons, though the Babylonian deity known as Tiamat lays claim over evil dragons. Ryujin does not consider Tiamat to be a real threat, as while she is ancient, Ryujin has been around as long as there has been water on the earth. He can vividly recall the first microbes floating through the earth's primordial seas. He can remember when the waters were green and the skies red due to the immense levels of Iron in the water and Carbon Dioxide in the sky. To him, the long reign of the dinosaurs was but a blink of an eye.
Ryujin is the protector of Japan and many other maritime cultures across many worlds, one of the many deities that all emperors of Japan may trace their bloodline to. However, his favour with Japan wanes whenever he believes that the Japanese are doing evil, and he all but abandoned them during the second world war. During each Japanese invasion of Korea, Ryujin flatly refused to ever come to conflict with his long time consort and most cherished lover, Imasura. For him, blood truly was thicker than water, and no political differences would bring him to conflict with her.
He has however, given some of his tide gems, mighty artifacts that command all water, using ancient magic that taps into the very essence of the elemental plane of water itself, to worthy people, but he always demands that they be returned to him, lest he display his wrath against those who had dishonourably broke their word. Entire empires have been wiped away for incurring the wrath of the Primal god of the sea and all that dwells beneath it's waves.
Each of the water gods of the other pantheons have some form of tide gem from Ryujin's collection, though for obvious reasons they are not as powerful as the supreme tide gems that Ryujin posseses, and their innate control over the waters is as nothing before the Ancient Dragon God. Something that many rebel against by attempting to write Ryuujin out of their Myths and legends, the most thorough being that done by the abrahamic deity Yahweh, whom Ryuujin has always regarded as something of a redheaded step child.
Each year, Ryujin demands tribute from all other gods of the water, a tribute that deities from beings as mighty as Oceanus to as unimportant as a god of a minor river have always honoured, as to incur Ryujin's displeasure within his own watery realm would be akin to political suicide. Even Yahweh must pay this tribute to Ryuujin, lest the kingdom of heaven be brought down by Ryuujin's watery rage.
Throughout human history, he has been content to remain in his watery realm, even as the second world war tore in the surface above. That is not to say he was completely inactive. When the industrial age began, Ryujin was enraged to find mankind polluting his realm and hunting noble water creatures to extinction. This was an insult, a violation of the sacred compact he held with man to be respectful to the waters that gave them life, something he would not stand for, something he very nearly wiped all of mankind out over.
It took a great amount of consoling to prevent the Dragon God from simply setting humanity all the way back to the stone age from the other gods. Even then, he decided to do nothing to protect man against the increased storms that global warming would bring onto their heads. For a time, his wrath was averted, but as soon as mankind began testing nuclear explosives in the water, his rage increased monumentally. His anger was apocalyptic, but he was once again talked out of simply destroying the works of man, but punish man he still would.
To punish mankind, he began to unleash a huge wave of new giant monsters, beasts either awakened or mutated by man's new atomic age, beings that would show mankind that though they thought themselves the masters of the Earth, the Primordials were still the true lords of the Earth and the Universe. He did not expect nor want the monsters to destroy mankind, he simply wanted them to remind mankind of how terrible nature's vengeance could be.
To further punish man, he decided to do nothing against alien invaders that began to rapidly plague man throughout the decades, allowing them to show that man was far from the biggest fish in the sea. But the coming of the Rikti who sought to destroy the gods as well as mankind brought him out of isolation. Though their fearsome technology was able to counteract many of the deities powers, only in their greatest concentrations were they capable of even slowing Ryujin down.
Ryujin made very sure that each and every Rikti that tried to attack his underwater realm met their deaths, and from then on he began to take a more proactive approach, ferociously attacking any invaders of the watery realms of the earth, for which he has special plans. His mood regarding mankind has mellowed over the years, likely with the help of Imasura in their occasional meetings. He still watches over many other alien cultures, to whom he is known by many names and takes many forms before them. But his teachings always remains the same, and he always seems to prefer cultures that develop on islands over mainlanders.
He is a being of such vast power that with but a thought, he could erase millions of galaxies form existence, destroy the realms of Satan and Yahweh in the blink of an eye, drive away a host of celestials with a single word, or fell all the skyfathers of the Earth with a single motion. He and the other primal gods have also created a mighty form of armor, much like the Asgardian Destroyer, except far more powerful, to be used in case the the infinites try and interfere in the affairs of the Universe, it is unlikely to stop one of the infinites, but they hope it's a step in the right direction to safeguard this universe from the meddling of multiversal entities. Addittionally, there is another foe it was made in mind for.
The Primordials and the Outer Gods have had a long, bitter struggle that the Outer Gods tend to dominate with their multiversal level might. The primordials primarily attempt to keep the Outer Gods, als known as the Many Angled Ones, from destructively interfering in the affairs of sapient life, generally with little success. In their most recent encounter, Ryujin did battle with the loathesome Shub Niggurath, mother of a thousand young, and was soundly defeated by the mother of abominations. The battle would have shattered vast portions of the universe had it not taken place in the void between realities, and yet Ryujin has not yet forgotten the defeat he was handed by the Outer Gods. The Primordials are hoping that their new armour, dubbed the "Ol'vid'yar" can tip the balance in their favor.
Addittionally, the Primordials have also frequently come across, and were repeatedly defeated by the being known as Orlok the Eternal, a colossal Archomental made primary and greatest herald of the Icon, a being of multiversal level power barely imaginable even by gods. The repeated defeats Orlok has handed the twenty four Primordials has taught them much in the ways of humility, and they are constantly trying to prepare for new and better ways to match the blazer of worlds.
Teachings and Dogma
The teachings of the dragon god are quite simple. One is expected to always be morally and ethically righteous, and to defend those who cannot defend themselves. One is expected to be selfless, but not to forget their own individuality, to keep themselves as their own person, but not to be afraid of sacrificing for the greater good, up to and including giving up one's immortal soul and casting themselves into utter oblivion and nonexistence if it is for a worthy cause. One is expected to follow the laws of their society unless they go against moral dignity.
One is to be respectful to authority and to their elders, but not necessarily subservient. One is to respect their environment and to not pollute it. One is to never exploit and abuse others. One is expected to never cheat unless it is truly necessary. One is expected to give to those who are in need, never turn the starving beggar away. One is to never lie unless it is necessary. One is to never be cruel and bullying to others. One is to be loving to their mates. One is to honour agreements unless they prove detrimental to survival. And one is to forever respect the oceans, from which all life emerged.
Powers
Energy manipulation; As an Ancient God, Ryujin shows energy manipulation and generation on a scale that surpasses even beings on the level of Odin. He is also very much capable of altering matter, capable of acting on a level equal to the most powerful of celestials, all of this without the benefit of the Ryujin force.
Ancient God: Ryujin is tremendously strong and unbelievably durable, as is befitting for one of the eldest of gods.
Wise: Ryujin is a highly intelligent and wise being, full of life experiences that go on a timespan humans cannot even begin to imagine. Even gods such as Zeus have been around for but a blink of an eye to Ryujin.
Regenerative abilities: Ryujin posseses a healing factor much like his consort Imasura, and like her, can reincarnate if he is somehow ever slain.
Ryujin-force: While Imasura typically keeps the full extent of her abilities locked in her eternal form for reasons she never discloses, Ryujin keeps the full extent of his abilities with him at all times. The Ryujin force is a power of massive proportions, with it, one could bend and twist reality on a truly enormous scale with their thoughts. Time, Space, Matter, Energy; all of these are as nothing to a wielder of the Ryujin force. However, none have ever stolen it from it's true owner. The Ryujin force is as far above the odinforce as the odinforce is beyond the power of a run of the mill deity. If it were to be stolen by the wrong person, the results would be catastrophic to say the least. With the Ryujin force, he was powerful enough to drive away entire hosts of celestials and destroy and recreate a hundred billion galaxies without effort. Much like how Thor at full force could destroy several planets, and Odin several galaxies, at full force Ryujin can obliterate several Galactic Superclusters at a time.
Tide gem: Ryujin is the controller of all liquids and waters within the universe due to the power of the supreme tide gem, which utilizes truly ancient magic that taps into the very essence of the elemental plane of water, for he is the Lord and God of the entire Elemental plane of water.
Shifter: Even without the Ryujin force, the Dragon God is capable of taking any shape or size he wishes to. He frequently appears as an armoured lord, a callow youth, an innocent boy, or an old man.
