Well, thats a bummer (Darkwing Duck and Duck Tales end)

This just in. There might not be a lot of people who have been reading Darkwing Duck or Duck Tales published for a year now by Boom! Studios, but wanted to send this out there.

According to Medtown Comics, Boom! is ending their Disney comics line. Midtown Comics is pre-selling Darkwing Duck 17 & 18 as well as Ducktales #6. Here are their studio provided descriptions for each:

With that, My whole pull list is shot out of the water. my DC part was completely redone and I'm still unsure what I'll get. However, I was thinking Darkwing Duck would be my rock. My sancuary from all the chaos. Perhaps a few months after I started collecting offically (like going to the store and getting comics) and actully joined this site, I heard about the new Darkwing Duck. Ian brill might not have been the best author, but he did a good job. Silvani was perfect. It was one of those comics you just love to read. That was joyful and just fun. Duck Tales was getting there. Warren was stuggling to get the story going. He still sort of still is. Some of you reading this might remember a series you loved that was canceled or ended. I have no idea if Marvel-Disney will resurrect Darkwing (I could never find anything I wanted on their site). Sort of depressed. you have no idea how hard it was to write this blog (and I'm the poet...I am a writer, but its like hearing a friend's going to die). Ah, well, thats life for ya. going to look at my favorite list I put togther a while back (based on the song " put on a happy face"). We will see what the morning brings...
