This Wednesday many of you picked up the penultimate issue of UNCANNY X-FORCE (issue 17)

Might want to clarify that it's only the penultimate issue of this arc. Way it's worded it sounds like the series is ending.

So this is what would happen if Venom and Brother Voodoo had a baby?

Maybe I'm weird, but Ramos is one of my favorite artists. Very unique.

Also, I'm amazed at how rough you are with your comics. Either you get them free or just have a lot of money and don't care? *shrug*

Doesn't work. I tried 1/2, .5, 0.5 - all were returned as either 0 or 1.

Here are two things I'd really like to see:

  • Uniform way of doing issue titles. The way I've always done them: "Arc Title, Part #: Issue Name" (i.e. "The Isolationist, Part 2: Natural Order") -- right now it is pretty random how things are done since so many people can edit at will. From arc to arc in the same series things are done differently. Maybe we could setup three boxes instead of just the one so that it would format it automatically?

Arc Title --> The Isolationist

Part Number --> 2

Issue Name --> Natural Order

Then once those are all filled in, it would automatically format it like the way I described above so everything matches.

  • The ability to create issues with "1/2" as well as words such as "Sketchbook," "Preview" and "Annual" so everything can be merged into the same series and show exactly what the issue is without having multiple #0 or #1 issues. Most sketchbooks and previews don't have issue numbers, they just use the word, so being able to use words for issue numbers would be a good idea.

Thanks.

They're not 0 and they aren't 1, but every time I submit one, they get changed to one of those. There needs to be a way to have 1/2 issues. Also, things like "Sketchbook" and "Preview" don't have issue numbers, but those are always changed to 0 as well. The actual issue number is a word, not a number.

Hey everyone, I'm actually an admin over at stashmycomics.com (bobthegopher on those forums) and I'm really enjoying the site here. I'm pretty OCD, so I spend my time indexing over there and now I can do it here as well. :)

Anyway, my suggestion: a uniform way of indexing issue titles. On my site, I always make sure it goes "Arc Title, Part #: Issue Title" so that everything is even and neat. Even if in the book it says "Chapter" or whatever, I switch it to "Part" so everything fits and I make sure to always juse the # as a number, rather than spelled out. I suppose that's a judgment call, but it feels better to me. The other stuff should be a no-brainer though. I've seen some done as "Issue Title (Part # of Arc Title)" and other weird variations which definitely annoys the hell out of me.

For instance:

*Warbound, Part 6

[Instead of "Warbound - Part VI"]

*The Rise and Fall of the Shi'Ar Empire, Part 10: In Exile

[Instead of "The Rise and Fall of the Shi'Ar Empire: Chapter Ten: In Exile"]

Anyway, just my little gripe. Since this is such a user-edited site, everything is done differently by from person to person. If we could hash out one way of doing the issue titles, I think the site could be that much cleaner and better.
