The issue was pretty good. I do love this brand new team and what they bring to the table. I don't mind Deadpool at all. As long as he is being written well and serves a purpose, I'll enjoy reading him. He fits this book just fine and is a contrast to the dark, serious tone of the book. I love that they have Warren and Betsy back together, but as Sara said, I'd like to know how they got back together. As from that whole exchange in that scene, I don't think Betsy was addressing Scott. I think she was addressing on how she can help Warren control his dark side.

It's good that Scott doesn't know. This is a team that will go to the extreme to save the mutant race. Having them go after Apocalypse is a great way to start off the story. I also like the idea of co-captains so it balances out the power and makes for more varied missions.

I do hope they add more members though. To me, 5 just seems a bit little. Add another character or 2 at the most and it feels more complete. I would love to see Domino back on the team. She's an original member and it would be good to have another female presence on the team.

4/5

Was totally thinking a new Heroes for Hire book that provide more..."extreme" and diverse services. Interesting teasers these last couple of days. Will the teasers last the whole week?

It's totally weird that I was thinking of this EXACT topic last night. I was going to message G-Man and ask him if he could do an Off My Mind on it.....weird. It's also never talked about how cities can be rebuilt so fast. Where is the city getting the money from? I would think if the heroes are billed for all the destruction, they wouldn't be left with any money at all. The idea of having villains do the clean-up to reduce their sentence makes sense, but it would be difficult because as you said, their abilities.

Or why not have a special group of people with abilities hired to be the clean-up crew? Hell, in one of the first couple issues of Flash, he rebuilds a whole apartment complex in minutes. So perhaps place a tax on heroes which helps pay for a super-powered clean-up crew?

Don't think it's a good idea to announce a second season when the first hasn't been shown yet. I mean, they don't know if ratings will soar or tank and the second season may be rushed.

I love that they're doing a 6-episode first season. It's a good way to test if it catches on with viewers.

@longas91:  yeah, i don't feels she's appropriate for the team anyway. she seems more suited for the secret avengers while ms. marvel should be on the primary avengers team.

@obscurefan:  that, or at least the new thunderbolts program would seem more fitting.

Never read the whole Red Hulk story line. And Avengers has been getting stale, so I think adding Red Hulk would bring a new dynamic to the team and create an interesting plot. If only Bendis would just stop with the back and forth banters and witticism between the characters that make up 3/4 of the dialogue of every issue.

By the way, they need to explain why Thunderbolt Ross LOSES his mustache when he turns into Red Hulk, and then grows it back when he becomes human again. I hope Tony Stark does some research on that.

Cotillard would be a GREAT fit as Talia. Seductive, beauty, and dangerous.
