Venom beat Carnage one on one in Venom: Carnage Unleashed, and every other time he faced Carnage, as Brock anyway, Gargan didnt do so well, in my opinion the only interesting Venom VS Carnage fight left is Spidey with the Venom symbiote VS Scarlet Spider with the Carnage symbiote.

Venom wins this BTW based on the comics he already beat Carnage in

Ultimate Carnage is lame compared to the original, at least Ultimate Venom thinks about his actions.

Demon lord who controls all aspects of darkness, including the darkness within the human soul. Once inhabited the soul of Egan the Vile-1, but was driven out due to it's proximity to the Sword of the God Formula, The Nocturnal assumed the darker part of it's former host's life, serving Aztek the Lost's VV, and plotting the destruction of the cyborg he once shared bodies with.  The Nocturnal was created from the evil purged from Egan's soul.
