Well, I can see it in the sense that you might have MC2 as a concept, or maybe even Earth-616 as a concept, but I don't really think the publisher needs to have two pages.

Why does everyone assume that if Marvel buys Superman they'll insert him into their mainstream universe? They publish plenty of books that don't take place in the Marvel U. I would love for Marvel to pick up Superman and start a brand new universe based around him. Ooh, or they could lease the character back to DC and bleed them for eternity.

Aside from the "who get's him?" debate, I'm much more interested in how DC will write him out. I assume they wouldn't just suddenly stop making references to him or start pretending he doesn't exist. If I was DC and knew that I was losing the rights, I would take the opportunity to write a classic "Death of Superman" arc.
