I've never been a fan of Di Giandomenico's artwork. Seen it in several books from Ultimates to Spider-Man Noir, and it always just looks busy and overly sketchy. With a book like Flash, though, I'm kind of interested to see how his style works.
That said, I still am going to miss Francis Manapul's art. Holy Speed Force, his stuff was great.
Starting off a series with Punisher not speaking? Sounds like Cloonan is taking a page out of Rucka's book; which is a good sign because Rucka's run was phenomenal.
It kind of baffles me that these Story Thus Far variants aren't the TPB covers. They're all like movie posters that represent an entire arc, seems like they'd be perfect. I guess I'm a little biased because I always like it best when the tpb cover isn't just a main cover from one of the issues.
I'm a huge Moon Knight fan. But I'm not sure where they're going with this book. They need to drop this whole schizophrenia thing and go back to basic and a lot rooftop fighting. Moon Knight is one of the coolest characters around. They need to stop this whole stop and restarting books. It does no good for alot characters. They should should continue with the last story and number issue. Fans are going to start getting confused when collecting back issues. Too many restarts just confuses the readers.
"Drop the whole schizophrenia thing?" So, get rid of the biggest thing that makes Moon Knight such an interesting character? The thing that always sets him apart from the various other street level guys with tools running around without powers? Seriously, why the hell would that be a good idea?
Honestly, I want to love that cover because it's mostly fantastic; but it's ruined by Kingpin's expression. It looks like he just took a dump in his pants.
I'm surprised, like many it seems, about some of the teams. Spidey, Cap, Buck, Clint and Vision don't seem like the types from what I am recalling to go for this type of idea. I'm intrigued just to see the how's and whys of the heroes stances and if they can make it make sense within their character or say hell with it and just write the story without caring.
I also don't get why people think Carols team lacks firepower, between Carol, Blue Marvel, Spectrum (Ultimates is a great title btw) and the resources Pete has with Parker Industries...not to mention much of the resourcefulness of the others...I think the teams are fairly balanced.
Spider made a literal deal with the devil to save Aunt May from dying. He'd totally be on board with anything that could prevent tragedy.
