@t3hlomb: I know that its just some of the story arcs are too long so which tie ins in those story arcs should i leave out.

I have started collecting story arcs such as siege, fear itself, dark reign, civil war and the secret invasion. some of theses story arcs have a lot of tie ins so can some one give a list of all the ties in i should and the one i should consider leaving out.

what is the most recent thor origin?

i will start with Amazing Fantasy #15 for the origin and read from Brand New Day onwards. Also where does spider man fit into avengers disassembled, civil wars, siege and fear itself.

i do want to stay as modern as possible but if i need to back a bit i don't mind. i would like to start of with an origin story arc though.
