X-Men anime series

Ever since Wolverine and the X-Men got cancelled, we were bummed out that the second season won't even happen. Well, now here are the good news. There is another X-Men series which comes out from Japan. Yes, it's a 12-episode anime series from Madhouse. But just 12 episodes? Would that be enough? Maybe, there will be a second season after this series airs. Because we the X-Men fans wanted more. Plus, I liked this anime version of Wolverine rather than the spin-off anime one who looks tall and skinny. Check out the new X-Men series trailer and see what you think.

Is this thing in english or Just Japanese?

Actually, I think that Madhouse and Marvel had a deal of some kind, because there's a Wolverine 12 episode, and an Iron Man 12 episode.

@furrynick: Actually it's Japanese. Once it airs you can check out the series with English subtitles. Or you have to wait for the english-dubbed version when it gets licensed in North America.

By the way, I just have to say that Cy looks really hot out of uniform here ;}

@TypingKira: yeah it's true. They do have a deal. When I saw the Wolverine trailer, it wasn't the one I expected. But it looks cool though. Madhouse should have used the same version of Wolverine from this upcoming X-Men series. I have no idea why they pick the skinny version of Wolverine.

To set the series apart from the x-men one. Because even if it's the same character, it's two separate shows. They really wanted to emphasize that.

I honestly am not the biggest X-men fan, but after seeing the trailer, I am ready to change that.
April 1st, I become a fan...

@TypingKira: yeah it makes sense.

@The Impersonator: Besides, I kind of like the tall, skinny Wolverine as like a more edgy anime type.

This series looks badass. I hope Gambit, Iceman, Nightcrawler, and Colossus make appearances. Beast and Wolverine look amazing.

Depends on the characters you like and the overall story line. The Story has a lot do with dangerous secondary mutations,known as " David Halter" Syndrome...
 The Quality was pretty good and just about everyone had there share of equal screen time,Wolvie didn't hog up the spotlight either.  =P

Though Storm didn't have a lot to say and didn't have much face time.and hardly went all out during battle scenes.

I was disappointed, which sucks, because I was expecting epic-ness.  It was so BORing.

They added too many weird anime monsters into it, when they could have put some awesome X-villains, like they had the U-men and Mastermind but I didn't think it was enough. They mentioned Magneto and at the end credits there was Juggernaut and Mystique. And they could have put in more X-men instead of giving 5 of them ten seconds on screen at the last episode.

@ZacCooper
They did add Mastermind's three mutant henchmen who were also part of the Inner Circle. I forgot what their names was. But I think they were new mutants. The pain-inducing Neuron, the spiky and hedgehog guy, and the liquid transformin' guy. Plus, it was a 12-episode series and it wasn't enough screen time to include all of them. Hopefully, there's a second season though. Yeah, I wished that this series could act as a first season of at least 26 episodes.

This anime was really good.  The story's plot took place in japan but it didn't seem forced at all (not like the Iron Man anime). I really loved the crisp clean and creative way they portrayed the characters. It was really gratifying. I also loved the unique way they portrayed some of the X-Men technology.

They even used Japanese characters, although I wish they used Sunfire. Felt like a wasted opportunity to portray him in animation.  They really didn't need to use Wolverine in this story because he already has his own anime series. I also wish they gave Storm more of a role in the anime. She did have a role, but it wasn't that important to the overall plot.

 But overall  I was pleased.

It was meh. Considering how little ultimately happened, I'm surprised they stretched it over so many episodes. I think there were pacing problems overall.

...i didn't even know it aired yet..but i DID see the wolverine anime and it was meh

I thought it was half decent overall, and definitely better than the Wolverine and Iron Man anime. The ending was just awful though. The show started out pretty promising, and just gradually got worse.
