Yet another Vrakmul alt. This is something of a parody of silver age style heroes and part of my guardians of the galaxy style group I'm making.
Soviet Hypersoldier
Though Project Frankenstein is the most famous of the "Hypersoldier" projects that have been made throughout history for Governments to combat the most high powered of Metahumans, Extradimensional entities, Aliens, and "Gods", the Soviet Union had it's own project during the cold war. Afraid that the Norse Thunder god Thor would one day try to destroy the soviet union, premier Kruschev decided to fund a clandestine project to create Soviet Hypersoldiers that would lay low the gods if they so chose to try and destroy the fruits of Red October.
Ivanov Kalishnikov, of no relation to the famous maker of the AK-47, volunteered for this project codenamed "Operation Babushka" as he wished to defend his beloved motherland from the imperialistic and decadent gods. A hero during the second world war, Kalisnikov underwent a process that turned him into a monster of a man. But he was not angry, he was raised to believe in sacrifices for the people, for the glorious revolution. Even as his skin became green as emeralds while scales of green sheathed them, even as he grew to colossal proportions, developing massive muscles and incredible might, he remained calm, this was for the working class after all.
Over a process of a month, carefully controlled exposure to genetic alteration, radiation, and outright magic carefully conditioned his body into an amphibious reptoid form. He grew to gain control over ionizing radiation and nuclear forces to bolster his tremendous strength and size, he was trained in countless more forms of combat and weaponry to help make him a better soldier, a template for the other Babushka monsters that would be created over the cold war, all utterly devoted to the cause of Soviet Russia. He was schooled on the various kinds of abilities he would face and how to best overcome them with his own. He was taught to love the people and was further schooled on the merits of the communist and socialist systems over the decadent capitalistic and imperialistic ways of the west.
He learned not to hate the people of the west, as they were merely being deceived by their overlords, but to pity them and to try and free them from the system that kept them enslaved to the Bourgeois. Even the Gods, he was taught, were being enslaved to a capitalist and feudal system and should be made to embrace the ideals of Karl Marx, Lenin, and the social revolution. Even Aliens and other beings could be schooled on the merits of communism, but first their fascist overlords would need to be cast down. The Soviets trained and taught him well, and they grew proud of Ivanov as he grew into everything they had hoped for and more.
As he had risen from a simple city boy in a fairly well off family in Leningrad to a soldier in the glorious red army, fighting admirably against the hordes of Adolf Hitler, to a member of the Spetsnaz, up to a living embodiment of Russia's endless might, he was seen as an emblem of the Soviet Union, showing that even those with the humblest of origins could rise to greatness under the red flag. He loved his country immensely and he was completely enamored of communism, hoping that it would one day unite all the world, no, not just the world, but all worlds in a glorious revolution of the proleteriat by man, woman, child, demon, alien, lovecraftian monstrosity from beyond space time, god, and all the rest.
He was quite well educated and showed a keen interest in military and political affairs, though as he was initially a factory worker, he also knew his way around machines to quite a good extent. Needless to say, these skills have only improved after becoming one of the Babushkas. His mind, while not exactly at genius level, is nevertheless quite keen, more than capable of solving intricate puzzles given time, and he has learned multiple languages over the years, priding himself on his ability to speak all of the tongues of the Soviet Union and it's brothers and sisters in the Warsaw pact, as well as many of the languages of Western Europe.
Some theorize that the fact that he could learn so many languages is in fact due to a minor mutation, which allowed for much better memory retention, enabling him to master the languages of Eurasia with stunning ease. In any case, his predisposition for speaking foreign tongues made him a popular foreign envoy, which was helped by his friendly demeanor and heroic attitude. Even many in the west admired him for his good naturedness, though they tended to think he was a tad deluded on the subject of communism, they couldn't deny that his heart was definitely in the right place. During his missions to the west, he would often work to save the people there from their native supervillains or menaces, hoping that doing so would show them the good that communism could bring them.
Indeed, his efforts paid off to some extent, membership in local communist and socialist parties tended to increase wherever he and the other Babushkas went. He was happy to help people and honestly believed that by spreading the good word of Karl marx and helping the downtrodden, he could make the world a better place and bring it one step closer to realizing the dreams of Lenin. He would often come into conflict with a strange cult that he often found were poisoning the minds of people with the talk of the end of the universe and the coming of some loathsome cult, and frequently met an equally strange group of men claiming to work for the Catholic Church while wielding fanciful weapons powered by steam and clockwork.
He was surprised to find that these two groups were unknown to the Soviet Union and urged that work be done to see that they could not threaten the people with their lies, worried that this so called "Cult of the Black hand" was actually a far more dire threat than the capitalists of the west. To his surprise once again, the Soviets and the powers of the Eastern Bloc agreed and diverted quite a substantial amount of resources towards fighting the Black Hand while the west remained blissfully ignorant of the massing armies beneath them.
In effect, the true heroes of the Cold War was the Eastern Bloc, which did much to stop many of the most sinister plots of the Black hand as the Cold War raged on, knowing that the black hand was propping up the western nations while working to sabotage the eastern powers. Before Black Hand attacks on the Soviet Union began in it's earnest, most economists were predicting that under Krushkev's administration, the Soviet Union would economically surpass America by the end of the nineteen sixties, something the Black Hand stopped with a devastating amount of ease.
Still, Ivanov and the Babushkas continued to fight against the Black Hand and various strange and highly powerful threats to the Soviet Union and it's allies. Indeed, The Emerald Soviet was one of the first superhuman enemies that the now infamous shark like mutant known as O'chunks fought in a battle at the Arctic to try and stop the Black hand from melting the polar ice caps. Though Ivanov at first had problems overcoming O'chunks absurdly fast healing factor and his seeming inability to knock the shark man out no matter how hard he hit him, the Emerald Soviet instead decided to throw around his superior strength by simply punting the Shadow Cult agent out of the arctic completely.
Other such adventures awaited the brave warrior of the red state. Such adventures such as his battle against the sinister forces of Eva and Fredreich Austerlitz and ODESSA, the agents of Baron Von Strucker and HYDRA, Sturmhounds's dastardly Fourth Reichers, the lethal Black Hand agent Necro-king, a Genestealer cult, a scuffle against a Chaos Lord of Warmaster Xaraghoul's forces, the watery hordes of R'lyeth, and perhaps most infamously; Gunslinging Nazi Lava Gorillas from the Moon riding upon jetpack totting mechanical Kangaroos in Subterranea.
He even killed his share of godlings over the years, though he always tried to leave a few alive so that he could teach them about the merits of the communist system, hoping that they would bring Lenin's teachings to their divine realms and start revolutions of the proletariat in their homes. He was generally unsuccessful with his attempts at prolyesterization. During the 1980s, he was sent on a mission into space to try and find out what threat it posted to the Soviet union, during which he has undergone even more incredible adventures, and to this day is still in the cosmos, enthralled by all that it has to offer, unaware that the nation he served is long gone. He is part of Jade's adventuring group in space, having met the girl recently and treats her like a daughter.
Given that he has not seen the earth in over thirty years, he is comedically poorly informed about current affairs on the planet. He still thinks that the Soviet Union and Yugoslavia still exist, he still believes the Cold War is going on, he is still adamant that one day the Soviet Union will triumph and unite the world in a peaceful revolution, and he doesn't even know that his people invented one of the most played games to this day, Tetris. He to this day remains absolutely convinced that Karl Marx is the best thing to happen since sliced bread.

Eye colour: Green
Ethnicity: Russian
Skin tone: Fomrerly Caucasian, currently scaley green
Tail length: three meters
Identity: Publicly known
Nationality: Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (Russia)
Religion: Agnostic, he knows the gods exist, but doesn't think they're all powerful, or are even responsible for anywhere near as much as they claim to be.
Alignment: Lawful good.
Super powers
Super strength and durability: Ivanov starts out at exactly class one thousand five hundred but the longer a fight goes, the stronger and tougher he gets as his body begins to go into overdrive. So far, there does not seem to be an upper limit to this. What classifies as a fight seems to be quite nebulous. However, if he's directly threatened, this seems to cause his power to ramp up much faster than it usually does. Thus, typically the only way to overpower him is to defeat him quickly before he can get powerful enough. His natural durability is proportionally higher than Dornan's due to his tougher skin.
Magic resistance: Kalishnikov is highly resistant to magic, but this resistance increases at the same pace as his strength.
Psionic resistance: The Emerald Soviet is highly resistant to psionics, and like his magic resistance, it is tied to how strong and durable he is at the moment.
Speed: Due to his seemingly limitless endurance and hugely strong leg muscles, Ivan is capable of moving at incredible speeds, having clocked in at eighteen hundred miles an hour, that can increase much like his strength, though at a lower rate.
Reactions: Ivanov has a reaction time sixty times as fast as a normal, unenhanced human. These increase at a slower rate than his strength, much like his speed.
Healing factor: Ivan has an impressive healing factor that has allowed him to stay in battle with two gods attacking him at once and withstand the fury of an Zolkri attack battalion. This increases at the same pace as his durability and strength, so it makes it imperative that anyone seeking to defeat Ivan should do so quickly before he proves to overmatch his foe completely. This healing factor also makes him immune to all poison and disease, including vampirism, lycanthropy, and the zombification. His healing factor is a tad slower than dornan's but is offset by his better durability.
Lethal blood: Notably, the only vampire ever strong enough to break his skin at the start of a fight died within moments of drinking his blood due to the fact that the antibodies in the blood immediately began to attack the vampire's systems and left only a pile of goop. An omnivorous villain similarly perished after taking a bite out of Ivan as the antibodies in the flesh attacked the body and literally dissolved the creature's body.
Amphibious: Ivan is capable of functioning perfectly well underwater, and while he doesn't need to breathe, he can also extract oxygen from the water. He is also a very accomplished and graceful swimmer.
Energy control: Ivan is capable of controlling and emitting ionizing radiation through control over the strong and weak atomic forces, inducing fusion or altering the way in which atoms decay and their products of decay to create energy blasts, cure people of radiation sickness, enhance his own power by absorbing more radiation, or even recently, create basic energy constructs.
Natural weapons: Ivan comes with extremely sharp claws and teeth as well as a powerful tail with which he can use to attack foes. His claws are incredibly sharp and durable and can cut through promethium, though Adamantium he can only go through when given a rather substantial amount of time to power up. Divine steel, being literally indestructible against physical, psionic, and magical force, is something beyond him.
Abilities
Skilled fighter: A former Spetsnaz operative and hero in world war II, Ivan is a very skilled marksman and hand to hand fighter, something that has only increased as he has been trained further in project Babushka, through both physical training and flash memory, followed by the experiences of decades of constant war.
Intelligent: While certainly no genius, Ivan, was still a B+ average student in highschool, he's more than smart enough to figure out a puzzle or resort to different methods if hitting things doesn't work. He's also known for an incredible skill at learning new languages, making him the default diplomat for Jade's adventuring group.
