I really need to catch up and buy the most recent X-Factor releases and I want to buy the new New Mutants and Uncanny X-Force collections. I've completely given up on almost anything that's not X-Men in Marvel at the moment. (Mainly because I don't like it….).
Anyway, my DC trade/hardcover collection:
Green Lantern: Rebirth.
Green Lantern: No Fear.
Green Lantern: Revenge of the Green Lanterns.
Green Lantern: Sinestro Corps War Vol 1.
Green Lantern: Sinestro Corps War Vol 2.
Green Lantern: Sinestro Corps War Tales of the Corps.

I've been meaning to get New Mutants: Fall of the New Mutants and Uncanny X-Force: Apocalypse Solution too.
I think it's excellent. Certainly one of my favourite alternate universe stories and X-Men crossovers.
Definitely worth it to buy the four trades if you can.

Did you like it? I bought the fourth issue and have purchased all issues since then. I do like the book, but I think I prefer X-Force Vol. 3, not by much, though.
By the trades one at a time, or the separate issues? The trades collect the issues in reading order.

I actually still haven't read it :( It's in my "to read" pile. I doubt that anything can live up to how much I loved Vol. 3. Choi is probably my absolute favorite artist, even more so when Oback is coloring and I love Kyle and Yost.
Buy the trades one at a time. I tend to prefer trades to singular issues. More bang for less buck.

Fair enough, get back to me when you have read it. I'm one of Kyle and Yost's biggest fans (are they still working together, actually? I only ever see Yost's name on things) and Choi and Oback are one of my favourite art teams. I really liked the team in X-Force Vol 3. It had some of my favourite characters; Elixir, Wolverine, Warpath and X-23 and made me care about/like characters like Vanisher. Plus it had awesome action/violence.
I prefer trades (well, hardcovers) to single issues. It means I can collect a whole story/run etc in a relatively contained space and they normally keep better.

I'll be sure to do that. That's a good question, I'm not sure, actually. I sure hope so, they're an amazing team. What are your other favorite artists? Agreed on X-Force vol. 3. It was an all around fantastic book.
I actually prefer the paperback trades to the hardcover editions. I find them a bit more manageable to read. Exactly, there are so many benefits to trades.
