Mostly a peaceful being, he much rather observe the events going on around him, and record them in the notebooks that he cares around with him. As an Ideal, he naturally has inherited the Ideals sense of superiority, and often will talk down to others that he comes in contact with because of his ability to manipulate the realm around him. He remains duly focused on his purpose, which is to observe and learn from the events that take place around him. He is also highly passionate about finding the lost pages of the Grimoire that belonged to Albert Walsh.

Powers and Abilities
The Author, being an Ideal, is a very powerful being when inside of the fictional realm. Using his device known as the WATCH he has the ability to dimension hop between all planes of existence within the fictional realm. Like other ideals he has the ability to manipulate the world around him rendering him for the most part invulnerable. The only beings that are able to truly hurt him and kill him are other Ideals.
Equipment
the WATCH
The Author's watch upon first glance would appear to be a normal pocket watch to some, but in actuality it is much more than that. The WATCH is in fact a magical feat of engineering on any scientific scale. It possesses the ability to take is wielder literally anywhere whether it be past, present, future, alternate dimensions, subconscious thoughts, or dream realm. There is no where that the WATCH cannot take it's wielder, except past the fifth wall.
The Author's Notebook
In truth, it is just a regular notebook that has been filled to the brim with all sorts of experiences that the Author has witnessed. That in itself makes this notebook special because some of the information therein can be very dangerous if it fell into the wrong hands. The Author has filled out thousands of these volumes, and the more dangerous ones he keeps locked away.
The Chain
The Chain attached to the Author's watch is a separate entity in itself. It has the ability to stretch to great lengths. The chain is also supposedly unbreakable, but the amount of strength it truly has is as of yet to be seen. The Author has show to be able to use the chain in a whip like manner that he can also use to subdue and bind his adversaries.

Jezel is another member of a mysterious group known as the Ideals. A long time ago she and the Author were both allies, but after the Ideal War, Jezel became crazed and disappeared for a time.
The Ideals
The Ideals are a mysterious race that were created by a man named Albert Walsh. Their original purpose was to traverse all of existence and record all they had learned for the purpose of creating a vast reservoir of knowledge. A war broke out amongst the members, and many were killed, but others such as Jezel and the Author escaped.
Albert Walsh
Albert Walsh created the Author as well as Jezel and all the other Ideals. The Author never truly met Albert, but the Author bears a strong resemblance to him.
