@supremehyperion: I'd just expect them to have a bigger presence among street heroes. Like you said, not big events, but at least a recurring presence that doesn't ignore them until writers feel like they're (randomly) needed.

Someone made a similar thread about what the Marvel Universe thinks of mutants, but what about vampires? Like how do the heroes deal with/think of them? Are vamps even much of a threat in the MU these days (to people like The Avengers/X-Men)?

Can we just, like, take a moment and remember what The Avengers has done for CBM's? None of that "overrated" or "lol no" nonsense.

Whenever I say what I just said, people call me retarded and that The Avengers has had no impact like Batman Begins or Spider-Man/X-Men.

What?

The Avengers has opened the doors for every darn studio to use the word 'universe' in their vocabulary. What happened? As soon as Avengers became a success, WB wanted a JL script (and no, none of that "but George Miller was doing it first!" because either way, Avengers was announced before Miller's JL film-- ugh, see what some of you people are making me sound like?) and finally, a movie with Batman and Superman meeting on-screen. Fox wanted the X-Men sharing a universe with FF and a bunch of solo movies. Sony wanted to make their own villains of Avengers.

Believe me, this thread is not to despise other studios for what they're doing, but lately there's been a lot of scorn directed towards Marvel with every other studio now in the game.

So in the words of - I dunno; Never Forget.

This is where it began.

It's kinda unfair that Marvel's going to look like the copycats with their Quicksilver in Avengers. Call me biased or a typical Marvelite, but it's just something that bugs me.

Quicksilver wouldn't even be in X-Men if it weren't for Whedon's announcement last year. Even Collider or some site said that when they visited DOFP's set, they were informed that Juggernaut was replaced with Quicksilver at the last minute. I laughed at that, considering Bryan Singer says that Quicksilver was in his script from the beginning :P

And then you have Flash. The Arrow writers went on and on when the show started that they were NEVER; repeat, NEVER introducing DC comics characters with powers. Then come Fox and Marvel battling over Quicksilver for months, The CW comes out of nowhere and decides they want to bring DC's speedster to life.

*Sigh* I'm done. You may... Attack or whatever.

Yeah I'm sure he met with Wanda both during and after CW considering he hears about Cap pretty quickly.

@the_amazing_spider_man Okay wait never mind, Dr. Strange reveals that he met the resurrected Clint before the events of Civil War. He actually kept up with the events of the War, but didn't come out of hiding until New Avengers 30.

Thanks man. I was pretty confused jumping straight into Civil War and then New Avengers (or Secret Invasion I think) a year or two later where he was back. I need to catch up!

As the title says, where was he? I stopped reading at Disassembled and (yes, surprisingly) never read House of M. I know he was resurrected, but is there a particular gap that I should have covered from M to Civil War (to explain his absence)? Was he just in hiding like Strange and the X-Men?

Dead. He was killed during the events of Avengers Disassembled and only returned Post-Civil War in New Avengers, during the infamous 'closet' issue.

So from when he was resurrected in House of M, he didn't physically return until Post-Civil War? There was nothing in between (M and Civil War)?
