thanks for the replies. it is a big question, because if it does already include the gems, then thanos would not have to go and collect them individually.

some have theorised that thanos already has 1 or 2 of the gems and he used those in the avengers movie to ressurect his army, etc.

maybe they will have thanos in iron man 3/ thor 2/ cap 2 in each movie maybe he collects one gem. then it builds to avengers 2?

this is ofcourse, if avengers 2 is even about the IG.

Everyone knows that Odins vault has lots of items in it, among them is the infinity gauntlet.

My questions is, does it have the gems? judging by pictures and the movie, it looks like the gems are on the gauntlet, which would be...weird, considering that people like loki and even frost giants were within reach of it during the movie.

I'm asking if it is possible, because it states he grants them a portion of his power cosmic, so could his power cosmic run out, say if he made a trillion people his heralds, or it is unlimited and just a phrase?

We know that galactus gives a tiny portion, insignificant to him, to his people to make them his herald.

my question is, since its stated that it is a tiny portion, almost insignificant to galactus, can his power cosmic run out? I mean, can he potentially give hundreds of beings the power cosmic and have 100's of heralds? He'd never have to worry about a few betraying him or fighting him since he's unaffected by power cosmic, but that's not the point. With that many heralds he would always have help to take out things that dont warrant his direct attention, small villains, planets trying to fight back, etc, he'd almost never starve with that many heralds helping him find planets and attacking them.

Who is the most powerful person galactus can turn into his herald, it has been stated by Galactus himself in one of the comics, the one that involve DC as well, that superman with power cosmic was his most powerful herald ever.

can galactus, for example, turn an extremely powerful being, like thanos, into his herald, thus making him even more powerful, especially if he gives him more power cosmic, I mean, obviously he can but who do you think would potentially be the most powerful herald if he does strike a bargain with galactus?

what i was saying about the silver surfer standing up to galactus is how can he do it? surely if he only has a tiny portion of galactus powers, wont galactus easily kill him + cant he take away his powers aswell since he gave them to him?

here is when hulk "eats and becomes galactus" in marvel zombies, after hulk eats him he becomes the new galactus, has control over power cosmic, etc. 

Hey, I'm new here, dont know much and im still learning, so if this question seems nooby, apologies. 
 
my question is simple, galactus has been defeated by many characters, many times over, 
 
im told that Fantastic four have beaten him, hulk has beaten him, thor has beaten him, im also told that even silver surfer has beaten him 
 
my question is how are these guys able to defeat galactus, i thought that galactus is one of the most powerful guys in marvel, and that he can even erase timelines, so how comes he is getting defeated by these "weak" characters, (in comparison to galactus) 
 
even at low strength shouldnt galactus be able to beat these guys, and how comes even silver surfer, whom galactus has created with a tiny portion of his powers, can defeat him , it defies logic. 
 
another question (sorry for asking many questions!) 
 can galactus actually die? i know obviously guys above him are able to do it, tribunal/toaa etc. but apparently fantastic four "saved him from death", so is he actually able to die? i thought he was pure energy inside his armor. 
 
one possible answer someone has told me is that marvel constantly makes new characters defeat a weakened galactus just to prove they are strong, but as i said, shouldnt even a weakened galactus defeat these characters with ease?

im wondering how galactus can kill those that only get stronger when angered, such as hulk and those with that heal, hulk, wolverine, etc. 
 
let me say again, I know galactus easily wins against those, but how? 
 
how does he kill hulk? does he use his powers to restructure  hulks molicules (cure him basically), does he simply turn hulk into energy? (galactus can do that right? says he can manipulate matter into energy)
