@spidey 15: Thanks a lot, so far this site has done NOTHING to avoid the hobby! It figures that I'd be welcomed by you spidey 15, as my favorite superhero has always been Spider-Man (I collected comics for a few years back when in the early 90's when I was a pimply-faced teen) hehe....seriously though, I'm having a blast. Also, it seems like I came in at a great time (I collect Marvel) what with all this Heroic Age stuff starting up. Tons of #1's, lots of stuff seeming to start from scratch, great story arcs starting up. I still have some questions though. Okay, here's a quick one...where can I get those cool variant covers?? I usually shop at Amazing Stories in Shrewsbury, NJ and Jay & Silent Bob's in Red Bank, NJ. Amazing Stories hasn't had any that I've seen yet and Jay & SB's has them, but they range from 7 to 15 bucks from what I've seen so far. They seem really cool and I'd like to pick up a few of those instead of the standard covers if I like them. Also, I just recently heard about subscription services, is this something that's available in the online comic outlets, or in comic book shops irl also? I'm not sure if I'm a tool for walking in to the shop each week and paying full price for a stack of books.... Any help would be appreciated...and thanks for the welcome spidey 15.
