  • In the Marvel universe, Asgard is the dimension that is inhabited by the Asgardians or Norse gods. It is the highest of the nine worlds that make up Norse cosmology. Asgard refers to both the dimensions, kingdom, and city of the Norse gods.

  • After having overthrown his father, Kronos, Zeus divided the universe, their father’s kingdom, in parts he shared between himself and his brothers. Neptune gained the sea, Pluto the underworld and Zeus the heavens. He founded his proper kingdom, on the top of the Mount Olympus, were he lived with his sisters, brothers and children. The most famous and important Olympian Gods inhabiting Olympus are twelve, but other minor deities and gods were also welcome to live there.

  • Asteroid M was Magneto's lair in orbit over the Earth. Destroyed, rebuilt & replaced various times; Asteroid M was destroyed in the sun & eventually fell to Earth after a conflict with the X-Men.

  • Krypton is an alien planet in the DC universe. Most of its inhabitants died when it exploded. The most famous survivor is Superman.

  • There has been several Counter-Earths in Marvel.

    The first Counter-Earth was created by the High Evolutionary, the second by the Goddess and the third by Franklin Richards.

    High Evolutionary

    The first Counter Earth was created by the High Evolutionary with the Infinity Gems and his genetic know-how to be the perfect version of Earth, a paradise. It was taken by the Beyonders.

  • Hal Jordan's home and base of operations during his year long exile from Earth. Jordan's asteroid was located on the border of Space Sectors 2813 and 2814.

  • The headquarters of the Justice League of America.

  • Home to the Amazons, a race of warrior women created by the Olympian gods. Wonder Woman is the most well known citizen of Themyscira.

  • Wakanda an African nation in the Marvel universe ruled by the Black Panther. It is technologically superior to most developed nations rich in natural resources, particularly the rare metal vibranium.

  • Atlantis was a myth described by Plato as an advanced society that sank into the sea. Many comics use it as a source of technology, magic or advanced beings, either in the ancient past or undersea.

  • Attilan is the city of the Inhumans and is currently located on the Capital World of the Kree Empire, Hala.

  • In the Marvel universe, Latveria is the eastern European country ruled by Dr. Doom. It's capital city is Doomstadt.

  • The first Fortress of Solitude belonged to Doc Savage, the original for Superman. The second and most famous Fortress is Superman's headquarters created by the Eradicator. It contains various Kryptonian artifacts as well as a way of communicating with Jor-El.

  • The Batcave is the headquarters for Batman. True to its name, it is a cave underneath his mansion.

  • Owned by billionaire industrialist Tony Stark, AKA Iron Man, it was formally called Stark Tower but is now known as Avengers Tower. It is the current headquarters and main base of operations for "Earth's Mightiest Heroes".

  • The old HQ of the Fantastic Four on 42nd and Madison Avenue in New York City.

    This had been the homebase of the Fantastic Four for quite some time, until the team returned to their original headquarters at the Baxter Building.

  • Located at 1407 Graymalkin Lane in Salem Center, New York, the Xavier Mansion has been home to the X-Men since their inception, and has always been a school and safe haven for any mutants in need.

  • Gotham City is under the protection of Batman and his protegees from the criminally insane supervillains, gangs, and mobs that litter it's streets.

  • Metropolis is much more than a bustling urban center. Like many east coast American cities, Metropolis is a melting pot of peoples and cultures. It is sometimes called the City of Tomorrow.

  • Hidden city deep in the Congo Basin of Africa and home to a enhanced tribe of Gorillas, among them, Grodd, Solovar, Nnamdi, and Montague. Once ordinary gorillas, were transformed by the rays from a crashed alien space craft. The gorillas developed advanced technology and cloaked their city.

  • The Savage Land is a tropical prehistoric land hidden in Antartica. It was created during the triassic by the alien Nuwali for another alien race, The Beyonders, for observation and research purposes.

  • Jor-El (Superman's Kryptonian father) discovered this dimension absent of time and space. He believed the dimension to be an ideal prison and alternative to death for the criminals of Krypton.

  • Limbo is a magical dimension of demons that's most commonly thought of rulers include Belasco, her daughter Witchfire and both Magiks.

  • The Astral Plane is the plane of minds. To access the astral plane, you must be telepathic or have some other source of power, such as magic.

    Marvel Universe

  • The place where all evil people go after they die. Filled with lakes of fire, brimstone, heavy metal music, long lines, and people who drive too slow in the fast lane. Not a fun place.
