  • Article Vibranium is a metal primarily found in the African nation of Wakanda. It is able to absorb any vibrations and kinetic energy directed at it. Because of this, it has been a highly sought after material to be weaponized.

    Characteristics

Vibranium is a metallic substance known to exist on Earth in two forms.

The more common variety of vibranium is exclusive to Wakanda, a nation in Africa. Wakandan vibranium, as it has been referred to, is able to absorb energy within itself. There is no noticeable increase in the vibranium molecules vibration rate when mechanical energy is absorbed. The energy unleashed upon it is stored within the vibraniums molecular bonds. This would make the vibranium extrememly difficult to destroy, if it absorbed a significant amount of energy. If the appropriate amount of force to smash it were applied, the result would be an explosion releasing the energy absorbed. There are limitations for the amount of energy vibranium it can absorb, however this has yet to be determined. A small island located in the South Atlantic had a vibranium foundation composition, which was discovered by the oil company Roxxon. Roxxon proceeded to blow the island up with explosives. The vibranium was not able to fully adsorb the explosive force, but did absorb the sound made.

  • A virtually indestructible man-made metal in the Marvel Universe. Without a healing factor it is poisonous inside the body.

  • Captain America's shield has become the symbol and embodiment of justice and patriotism.

    Size

    Diameter: 30 inches

    Weight: 12.5 lbs

    History of Captain America's Shield

Captain America first used a bullet-proof triangular shield that was later donated to T'Chaka, the Black Panther of the time, as a sign that Wakanda will not be involved in the Second World War. The shield is still kept in Wakanda as a national treasure up to the present time. Captain America used a second triangular shield but he later replaced it with his current circular shield. Steve kept the shield until he was recruited to become the leader of the Avengers, where the shield was moved to the team's mansion. It was later destroyed by Mr. Hyde when the mansion was invaded by the Masters of Evil.

  • Both a symbol of her royal position and an offensive weapon, the tiara is a functional part of Wonder Woman's costume.

The tiara is most often demonstrated to be a symbol of Princess Diana's nobility, yet when other's have won the right to represent the Amazons as Wonder Woman they have sometimes assumed the tiara as well. The tiara is used on occasion as a ranged attack weapon, and with the combination of being very sharp and magical it can harm those who are otherwise impervious to physical damage. It has been used to kill Phobos, by going straight through his neck (though he would later be revived in the arc Gods of Gotham) and was used the to hurt Superman's throat when he was under Maxwell Lord's influence.

As with much of the rest of her uniform, the red star recognizes the sacrifice that Diana Trevor made in the defence of Paradise island. The tiara does not return automatically when thrown, rather it requires Diana to throw it in a specific manner.

  • Wonder Woman's bracelets can deflect pretty much anything without a scratch, from the well known bullets to Superman's heat vision.

    History

Diana's silver bracelets were created from the remains of Zeus's Aegis, an impenetrable shield formed from the goat Amaltheia, who wet-nursed the infant Zeus, thus providing the energy from which Olympus sprung. Zeus´s father Cronus splintered the shield, and Athena had Hephaestus forge the remains into a great prize to be awarded to the worthiest of all Amazons, their greatest worshippers. The Bracelets are unbreakable, and Diana is swift enough to deflect bullets with them. When Diana crosses them to protect her from impact with larger projectiles as well as damage inflicted by explosions and collisions with hard surfaces, the bracelets generate a small energy shield. The Bracelets are even able to deflect Omega Beams (Darkseid's Omega Effect, Superman/Batman issue 13) and Heat Vision (Supergirl, Superman/Batman issue 9).

An offensive weapon They can also be used used offensively as well by slamming them together. The resulting effect has been shown to temporarily incapacitate even Superman. Recently, because the bracelets were forged from Zeus's shield, Diana has unlocked the ability to discharge electricity from her gauntlets.

  • The Lasso of Truth is a weapon wielded by Wonder Woman. Anybody confined by the lasso is compelled to tell the truth.

The Lasso of Truth, explained by its name, forces people to tell the truth, by the Fires of Hestia and was forged by the Golden Girdle of Gaea. It is able to restore people's lost memories, get rid of illusions, heal the holder's body (in this case, Wonder Woman), cure insanity, and people who are in its circumference will be protected from magical attacks. It is unbreakable, being able to hold anybody, even someone with the strength equivalent to Superman. The lasso also seems to be able to increase in length to an unknown degree, depending on the situation. Throughout the years, different artist have depicted the lasso as a simple piece of rope to a fiery, glowing rope which emphasizes the amount of power the lasso can unleash.

  • An invention of Brainiac 5's, the Force Field Belt has a variety of uses. Brainiac 5 has used this belt since his earliest days with the Legion.

  • Batman’s utility belt is one of his most characteristic items of special paraphernalia, and everyone in the "Batman Family" has the same designs on their utility belts Batman had designed the pockets to be locked, and only he knows how to open them. His belt has a security device on it where it can electrically shock someone or detonate an explosive device to prevent anyone from tampering with it. It is made of a leather strap with a solid steel buckle. There are also compartments that hold collapsible "Batarangs." It can hold ten cylinder cartridges that are equipped vertically outside of the belt. The cylinders hold various tools and equipment Batman needs to fight crime and vary depending on his mission. The list of items is extensive and has been changed and upgraded on many occasions. Many different belts have been created for different occasions, but all (at times) act in the same way that the original belt operates. Some of the more common gadgets include the following:

■Batarangs: Shuriken or boomerang based throwing blades made to resemble the symbol of a bat. Some Alternate versions of his Batarangs explode, emit electrical blasts, and sometimes come with detonators.

■Grappling Hook: Also known as the Bat-Claw. Batman can use this to grapple onto high locations or can grab hold of a criminal by directing it at him, he sometimes uses it to catch run-away street thugs that cannot put up a fight against him.

■Gas Mask: This is used to protect Batman from dangerous fumes and other airborne chemicals. This fits over the bottom half of the mask.

■Re-breather: allows Batman to breathe underwater or in a vacuum

■Night Vision Goggles: This allows for Batman to see in dark or dim-lit areas. It also grants him the ability to view the infrared spectrum. Now built into his mask

■Sonar: Used in his mask to locate criminals.

■Tracers: Bat-shaped signal tracers that can adhere to most if not all surfaces.

■Communicators: Batman communicates with different members of his team and also with other superhero allies using closed-circuited signals.

■Lock Picks: Batman uses these to open locked doors.

■Cuffs: Special cuffs that only few enemies and heroes can break out of. Batman can quickly lock a enemy to a pole or deliver him to the police.

■Bolas: Batman swings these Bat-Bolas over his head to wrap up an enemy.

■Smoke Grenades and Pellets: Batman can throw these grenades in order to use a stealth technique, distract an enemy, escape a situation, or plan his next course of action.

■Sonic Grenades: These disrupt electronics and disorient enemy hearing.

■Flash Grenades: This gadget is used to temporarily blind enemies.

■Mini-Mines: Mines that can fit in any small area or used as low-grade explosives during combat.

■Thermite Explosives: Capable of burning through most materials.

■Plastique: Small exploding devices that have a timer or detonator switch to activate.

■Tasers: Batman carries this to shock or neutralize an enemy.. This Weapon was more than often used in the Golden Age / Movies.

■Brass Knuckles: Used to engage an enemy with more force behind his blows.

■Tactical Knife: Batman does not use this in combat, but he has used this to cut through many durable materials.

■Mini-Computer: Batman carries two of these. One is located in his utility belt and another is located in his left arm. It appears as a virtual computer that he can contact other heroes or find out strategic areas in certain places.

■First Aid Kit: Used to aid in treating wounds. Alfred normally uses this to tend to His Master's wounds.

■Forensics Kit: Batman keeps two of these, one in his utility belt and the other in his vehicles.

■Kryptonite Ring: Inside a lead-lined box is a ring with a green kryptonite jewel to battle Superman if he ever went rogue.

  • Edit Article The Dark Knight's famed costume. The regular version is a nomex survival suit woven with Kevlar and reinforced steel rivets.

The suit is simply a nomex survival body-stocking enhanced with Kevlar weave and steel rivets. It has been colored either gray or black in several incarnations. On the chest is the suit's foremost feature, the striking symbol of a bat. This has been within a yellow shield or just on its own, as a black bat symbol.

  • Created during the Crusades, the Suit of Sorrows gives its bearer incredible strength and speed but can also drive him insane.

  • Designated as Spider-Man Armored Fighting Suit Version 1.1, the Iron Spider was given by Iron Man as a gift to Peter Parker after "the Other". Now it's being used by the clones of Initiative member MVP, the Scarlet Spiders.

  • The new post-crisis suit was first unveiled in Superman/Batman 5, When president Luthor, revealed to be a criminal and gone mad from using the venom drug, uses

Modern age suitit to attack Superman and Batman. The Heroes manage to defeat Luthor, although he disappears via a boom tube.

This armor was apparently created by Darkseid for Lex. It retains the color scheme of the silver age version, but is much more bulky and angular in appearance.

After the Infinite Crisis Lex made some changes to the suit, making it less boxy and more rounded, as well as upgrading it further.. This version of the suit is still in use.

    Abilities

The suit employs Human, Apokoliptian and Kryptonian technology. It is incredibly powerful capable of going toe to toe with Superman, at least for a while. It grants its wearer enhanced strength and durability. It has powerful shields which cover the whole body, protecting the seemingly exposed head, and can sustain several full-power punches from an enraged Superman. Energy blasts which Lex used to incinerate several OMACs at once. Advanced Jets in the boots allow for rapid flight.

For battle with Superman, the suit can fire blasts of krytonite from it's right gauntlet. It has several variations of kryptonite radiation, which are fired through the fingertips. Each finger fires a different kind of kryptonite.

The Suit also has an a blade in its right arm for close combat.

  • Modular ArmorThis unit is a drastic departure from all of the previous armors. Instead of a single cohesive unit, each piece of the armor is a stand alone subsystem that can be interchanged at will. As such, while the overall unit is still referred to as the Mark 11, the actual configuration at any given time will vary. The shell was composed of layered "flex-metal" which could condense itself like a 3-dimensional accordion pleat. Micro-scale suit tiles were fabricated by genetically engineered metal-affinity bacteria, which assembled themselves in specific orderly arrays and then expired, leaving behind various metallic deposits which form all the metal shapes and micro-electronic circuits.

  • Article An alien artifact that bonds with a host becoming a nearly unbeatable armor.

Abilities - The suit granted the user the following abilities:

    Flight

    Super Human Strength

    Invisiblitiy

Invulnerability - This ability is dependent upon the wearer. A person with a healthy sense of self preservation had nothing to fear. A fearless person however was vulnerable to attack as the armor did not know it needed to protect the host.

X-Ray Vision - The helmet provided the wearer with the ability to see through objects.

Energy Projection - The user could project blasts of energy from the wrists of the armor. Intensity varied upon the users desire.

Remote Terminal - The unit was capable of separating into two units, the second was sentient and capable of protecting as second host. While similar to the original it did not appear to have enough power to use its offensive abilities without the primary unit.

  • The Destroyer armor's possesses numerous superhuman capabilities but only if the armor is inhabited by the spirit of a sentient being. While some of the powers might vary, depending upon the spirit inhabiting the armor, they are primarily the same for any. Superhuman Strength: The Destroyer armor possesses vast superhuman strength of unknown limits. While inhabited by the lifeforce of a sentient being, it's strength is immeasurable. It possesses enough superhuman strength to easily overpower even the likes of Thor. Hence, it can lift far in excess of 100 tons with ease. Odin, creator of the Destroyer armor, once placed all of the combined lifeforces of the Asgardians, with the exception of Thor, into the armor, further enhancing the armor's strength to levels that make it's normal strength which is already incredible seem insignificant.

  • Professor Ivo's Amazo androids use "absorption cells" to duplicate the powers of metahumans, such as Superman's strength, Flash's speed, Batman's skills and intellect, and the abilities of Wonder Woman, Green Arrow, Aquaman, and Martian Manhunter. He has also demonstrated using the abilities of Atom and Elongated Man and Black Canary. Later versions are also capable of copying objects, such as the power ring of Green Lantern, Wonder Woman's magic lasso, and the Nth metal mace of Hawkgirl. All versions apparently retain the base abilities of the original five members of the Justice League first encountered.

  • Bastion possesses enhanced strength, speed, and endurance, flight via jet boots, command of other Sentinels, immunity to mutant attacks, laser vision.Strength levelSuperhuman, able to lift at least 10 tons. editParaphernaliaWeaponsLaser pistol.

  • Ability to connect to any computer system, electricity generators,

    Lasers,

    Various hidden tools and features.

  • Symbiotes empower the natural abilities of a host to the point where they far exceed that of normal members of the hosts' species. These abilities include the following:

    Superhuman strength.

Superior speed and agility, enhances other physical attributes as well.

Enhanced durability and resistance to damage.

Genetic memory, recalling information from previous hosts.

    Enhanced healing ability.

The ability to negate damage caused by terminal illnesses and permanent injuries, but not actually heal it. For example, Eddie Brock was able to survive indefinitely with terminal cancer, and Scott Washington was able to walk despite being paraplegic.

Can expand to any size as long as they have something to grow on such as a host or an object. Symbiotes can get inside of small areas such as electric wires and the insides of cars and completely disable them.

The symbiote also reacts to the thoughts and will of the host. When Spider-Man was originally selected, he had been thinking about Spider-Woman's costume in the Secret Wars. The symbiote acted on this and formed a similar costume, the one seen on him and Venom.

The following are functions that have been demonstrated from various hosts' wills (but are not limited to):

The ability to form fangs or simple bladed weapons out of their limbs.

The ability to form tendrils from their body

The ability to shape-shift, from mimicking clothing up to and including complete change of appearance, stature and bodily dimensions (since that symbiotes are living tesseracts).

The ability to stick to walls (adapted from Spider-Man).

The ability to produce webbing from its own mass (adapted from Spider-Man).

The Venom symbiote also has empathic abilities, and is able to project desires and needs into the thoughts of its host or potential hosts.

This ability can also aid Venom in detecting the truth from those he interrogates.

Can sense the presence of other beings within a certain distance.

Symbiote bonding protects the host from Ghost Rider's penance stare.

Venom and its descendants all possess the ability to bypass the Spider-Sense (because the original symbiote was attached to Peter first, it took his genetic information and spider-powers. This means that the symbiote attacking Peter would essentially be Peter attacking himself, which wouldn't set off his Spider-Sense; during the Clone Saga, this became complicated, as Venom did set off Ben Reilly's Spider-Sense, but Carnage did not).

The ability to create storage portals inside of them (this created easy access to Peter's camera).

Each symbiote has their own unique ability, such as Carnage being able to see from every direction of his body (this is similar to Spider-Man's spider sense).

In some realities, Venom's symbiote has been shown to be able to replicate.

  • An empowered waterfall created by the demon Watoomb. The first human to enter this waterfall is given a portion of its power, becoming Tempest.

  • Lazarus Pits are composed of a unique unknown chemical blend that bubbles up somewhere within the Earth's crust to the surface at key points on Earth, typically at the junction of ley lines. The substance possesses the ability to rejuvenate the sick and injured, and even resurrect the dead. The pits also decrease the age of the user depending on how long they stay submerged in the pit. If a healthy person goes into the pits, they will be killed in most instances.

In addition to the pits' regenerative uses, their power has also been used as a weapon. When Nyssa confronts the Injustice Society, she claims that the staffs wielded by her soldiers "channel the power of the Lazarus Pits" and have the ability to destroy both Solomon Grundy and Gentleman Ghost.[3]

[edit] Side effectsThough Lazarus Pits are undeniably powerful and useful, they come with side effects, both of which happen immediately after the user emerges. The user both becomes temporarily insane (although when it was used on the Joker, it temporarily rendered him sane) and gains increased strength for a brief period.

[edit] LimitationsEach of the Lazarus Pits can only be used one time by a user. However, Ra's al Ghul's daughter, Nyssa, discovered a way to make the Lazarus Pits last indefinitely, though it has been known to backfire. Nora Fries was transformed into a lava-based being and driven permanently insane after using one of Nyssa's pits.

  • The Super Soldier Serum is the name of a fictional compound (originally part of process) in the Marvel Universe. It enhances baseline humans to the peak of human potential, both mentally and physically. The most famous and successful recipient of the process is Steve Rogers, aka. Captain America. A formula capable of enhancing human beings into "super soldiers." The exact formula given to Steve Rogers is unknown; there have been many attempts to duplicate it. According to Private Biljo White, a "Dr. Anderson" indicated that potassium was one of the chemicals used in its formulation.[1]

The Super-Soldier Serum, also called the Super-Soldier Formula, is the name for a process to increase the physical attributes of its recipient to the peak of human potential as in almost superhuman. Peak Humans are superior to any Olympic level athletes who have ever competed. Top athletes normally have one or two aspects close to, or a bit under, peak level. While peak human enhancements have all their capabilities like mind, strength, speed, durability, healing, eye sight, immune system, aging etc.. at the maximum level of human potential. Dr. Reinstein established that this potential is the next step in human evolution for regular man(non-mutant), a man from the coming decades. Meaning one day humanity will reach this level on their own, in the far future.

"Serum" is somewhat of a misnomer, as the "serum" actually consists of various processes. Characters that are considered by a enhancement true "Peak-Potential" are noted to be Captain America, Isaiah Bradley, Josiah X, Protocide, Union Jack (different SSS variant), and Black Panther (Wakanda-herb). Variations of the serum have been developed over the years which induced greater-mutations then Peak human, one which even created the powerful Sentry.

But the more powerful variants come with strange side-effects that may also include mental deficiencies.

Mandarin's Rings are ten rings which he found within a Makluan spaceship, which were originally intended as the power source for the ship. Mandarin used them for his own deadly needs after he took them. Each ring has a specific "power".

■Left little finger: "Ice Blast Ring"- a ring which can shoot out intense cold rays at an enemy, cold enough to freeze that person solid.

■Left ring finger: "Mental Intensifier Ring"- this ring increases the Mandarin's mental abilities to the point that he can control people, to the limit of one person within 10 feet.

■Left middle finger: "Electro Blast Ring"- this ring can shoot out an unknown amount of electricity.

■Left index finger: "Flame Blast Ring"- this ring can shoot out flames, in heat form or as infrared radiation.

■Left thumb: "White Light Ring"- this ring can shoot out lasers, or on one occasion, create gravity strong enough that Iron Man buried himself by trying to walk forwards.

■Right thumb: "Matter Rearranger Ring"- this ring can rearrange the shape of solid objects. It can be used on almost anything.

■Right index finger: "Impact Beam Ring"- this ring can shoot out a force beam with concussive force.

■Right middle finger: "Vortex Beam Ring"- this ring can create a vortex of air, which can be used offensively, defensively or simply as a means of transport.

■Right ring finger: "Disintegration Beam Ring"- this ring can destroy all bonds of atoms and molecules of whatever it strikes. Unlike the other rings, it takes 20 minutes to recharge.

■Right little finger: "Black Light Ring"- this ring creates an area of total darkness around the person it is used on.

Mandarin has a strong psionic link with his rings. If someone other than him wears the rings without his approval, the rings will not work. Mandarin can control the rings from a long distance, and can "see" out of a ring that is not near him. Mandarin can give a ring to a servant if he wishes, but if the servant dies or is knocked unconscious the ring or rings will teleport back to Mandarin. If Mandarin is knocked out, all his rings will teleport to him. If Mandarin uses the rings for an extended period of time, his hands will turn green and scaly, just like a Makluan's.

  • Power Battery of each Corps and allows Lanterns to recharge their rings while in the field. Black Lantern Central Battery - The location of the Black Lantern Corps Central Battery is located on the dead planet Ryut. When the Anti-Monitor was hurled away from Earth by Superman Prime at the end of the Sinestro Corps War he eventually crash-landed on a dark, barren planet far from Earth, the dead world of Ryut. In his weakened state he was unable to stop the closing of the ground around himself which formed the shell of the Black Lantern Central Power Battery. It is the Anti-Monitor's own power that supplies the power to this Black central battery for the Black Lantern Corps that begins to create countless power rings that have spread across the universe for bearers.

Magical Empowerment: By not wearing the Helmet, (as the original Kent Nelson did at one time), Doctor Fate loses much of his/her power and knowledge.

Symbols of Fate: The Helmet is the source of the Doctor Fate identity. Putting on the Helmet of Fate typically results in its wearer being clad in the other garments of Fate, unless the one with the actual claim to the Helmet wants to prevent it.

Enhanced Intellect: When Detective Chimp put the Helmet on, it enhanced his knowledge and awareness many times over, an effect which lingered for a good week after he passed it on. The Helmet also picked up something of Detective Chimp's nature in the process.

Fate's Awareness: The Helmet of Fate is not intelligent in and of itself. However, Black Alice's encounter with it suggests that the Helmet is aware of the world around it in some fashion, and that it can respond to the mind of its holder.

Helm's Resistance: The Helmet can put up a certain amount of resistance to those it doesn't want wearing it, making it a struggle for them to try and use it.

Protective Enchantments: The Helmet had several protective enchantments on it. On several occasions, it was stolen by villains seeking the power of Doctor Fate; usually, the end result was that the wearer went insane when they tried to put on the helm.

House of Nabu's Soul: The Helmet of Nabu originally housed Nabu's spirit and allowed him to possess the current wearer; later, however, he was restricted to simply advising the wearer, unable to possess them. The Helmet lost its guiding intelligence with Nabu's death. But it apparently contains some residual guiding abilities as seen by its instruction of the new Doctor fate.

  • The Matrix is the essence of Primus, the creator of every Transformer, and is held only by the leader of the Autobots. It is also the ultimate weapon against Unicron and those infected with the hate plague.

  • The mystical cloak was given to Doctor Strange by the Ancient One after he won a battle against Dormammu. The wearer of the cloak has the ability to levitate or fly.

  • The Omnitrix is a watch shaped device that holds hundreds of aliens to be unlocked. In the original show, it contained only 34 aliens. However, in Alien force Ben found out that it contains 1,900,003 aliens. The Omnitrix is currently destroyed, Ben now wields the Ultimatrix.

  • The Phantom Zone projector is the device which can transport someone to the Phantom Zone, a dreaded dimension filled with vast space, where time is frozen yet the inhabitants are not.

  • Green Kryptonite - By far the most common variation. Green Kryptonite can weaken those of Kryptonian decent (weakening powers and abilities as well as strength), and in large enough doses or for long enough time it is lethal. In Smallville Green Kryptonite grants normal humans or other life mutations that make them super-powered and on most occasions psychotic. Here it also weakens Clark, at varying degrees including simply making him a little more human or leaving him on the brink of death.

This includes its very lethal nature to that of magical beings.

    Soul Absorption:

    Sword Summoning:

Granting the owner of the sword to place and store it in absolute nothingness and allowing the own to retrieve from whence its place with ease.

    Teleportation Disc's:

As a result of the SoulSword being forge from as piece of Illyana's soul, it would wields the ability to create teleportation stepping disc's. Thus allowing the current owner the same ability.

    Dimensional Manipulation:

The ruler of Limbo can mentally manipulate the physical appearance of Limbo, allowing it to look/appear as they wish it to.

    Augment Magical Powers:

When holding the Soulsword, it grants the hold the ability to cast or produce magic, even if they do not have the ability to do so.

    Summoning of Mystical Eldrich Armor:

It was revealed by Dr. Doom that the mystical armor that manifests on the individual that wields the Soulsword is actually a magical armor provided to any who rule Limbo.

    Super Strength:

When wearing the mystical armor, Illyana displayed a increase in her own personal strength. Shown when she did battle with her, one time, servant S'ym. During the Inferno invasion the two did battle. Illyana would easily grab S'ym and throw him yards away from her with only one arm.

The Soulsword is unable to harm beings of non-magical or cosmic origin but for unknown reasons, the Soulsword can physically injure Kitty Pryde, alias Shadowcat, even when she is using her phasing power to become intangible. Pryde, The Beyonder, Amanda Sefton, and Karma are to date the only other known beings besides Magik who are capable of wielding the Soulsword effectively. When Pryde does so, Magik's armor begins to appear on Pryde's body. Moreover, when the Beyonder once freed Illyana from the influence of her Darksoul, Pryde gained the ability to produce and wield the Soulsword. Illyana later took the Darksoul influence back upon herself in order that she could again wield the Soulsword to save Pryde's life from a demon. The reason for the mystical connection between Illyana Rasputin and Kitty Pryde, each of whom is the others best friend, is unknown but some believe it is because of the time Illyana spent in Limbo with an alternate version of Kitty Pryde.

  • He's 1 of 2 Guardians over (G.Q.'s) Museum Zauriel's most visible special properties are his wings, which grant him flight at incredible speeds and with a high degree of control.

The most potent of Zauriel's powers is his devastating sonic scream (sometimes called a "sonic flash"), which is capable of tremendous amounts of destruction. An ability that is specific to angels of the Eagle Host, Zauriel's scream is acutely attuned to the vibrational frequency that angels adopt when temporarily descending to the Earthly plane, enabling Zauriel to vaporize an angel in milliseconds. It is speculated that his scream could liquify a normal person. This scream can shatter steel or disintegrate the bodies of betraying Bull-Angels, robbing them of material form in the Earthly plane.

A less-defined property of Zauriel's angel-hood is what he refers to as his angelic over-mind, Zauriel's mental connection to Heaven. This connection grants Zauriel various abilities, including the ability to communicate with any type of animal and a divine connection to the flow of magic on Earth. He can also sense good and evil around him and in people.

Zauriel has a number of other powers, including a moderate amount of super-strength, toughness and agility when compared to a normal human. He is an expert in the ancient warfare, customs, and theologies of the Abrahamic religious traditions. For example, he invoked the beliefs of the Gnostic Christians when counseling Hawkgirl, and he can also perform what he calls the "Red Sea trick," enabling him to part a body of water in much the way Moses did. He has also been submersed in water at length without drowning on more than one occasion. Zauriel does not have the mortal need to eat, drink, or sleep, and seems to have a moderate healing factor.

His skin turned blue and his tissues were enhanced, granting him far greater strength, durability, and endurance. He was given razor-sharp metal, retractable claws and wings. The wings could also shoot poison-tipped metal feathers. Warren has independent control over each and every feather. However, the wings were sometimes hard to command, especially when Warren felt strong emotions.
