Name: Anthony Stephen Sunrider
Eye Color: Hazel
Affiliation: Jedi Council and the Republic
Powers: The Force; Which includes an array of various powers specific rare ones detailed below.
Form III; Soresu: Also known as the Way of the Mynock, or the Resilience form. This form relies on tight blade work and subtle dodges to provide maximum defensive coverage, minimizing exposure. Form III focused on strong defensive technique to essentially outlast an opponent, waiting until he began making mistakes due to frustration or fatigue, before taking advantage of these lapses and countering. A master of Soresu was considered invincible, and the focus on long-term survival allowed such duelists to take stock of and control of their situation, choosing to kill, disarm, or even reason with enemies.
Teras Kasi Master: Also known as 'Steel hand' is an unarmed fighting discipline that was originally created to combat against Jedi/Sith. It enables the user to develop extreme speeds, and an aptitude to anticipating strikes. It also teaches one to close their minds to mental attacks.
Battle Meditation: This force ability considerably boosts the morale, stamina, and overall battle prowess of an individual's allies while simultaneously reducing the opposition's combat-effectiveness by eroding their will to fight.
Force Light: This light side force power is primarily used against dark siders or places tainted in the dark side. This blinding flash of light could weaken the dark sider's connection to the Force, and can purge dark spirits or manifestations in living beings, items, or places.
Sever Force: This is a nonlethal attack that severs a force sensitive from connecting to the Force. This is considered to be one of the most powerful attacks used by the Force. While intended to be an attack with usually irreversible consequences, severing an individual's Force connection was not always permanent. When the affected being had the Force restored to them, it returned as a painful and sudden rush of feelings, as the Force immediately allowed the individual to sense everything around them at once.
Equipment: Modified Ulic Qel-Droma's Lightsaber with a unique aquamarine Sunrider crystal passed down through his family. Jedi Guardian armor. Com-link, Jedi Master robes, and utility belt. Jedi Defender starship code named Shield.
History Information: (Click on history for a full detailed background on events.) Raised within the Jedi Order from birth, his surname has come with certain benefits and a great burden of expectations. For he was the ancestor to Vima Sunrider, daughter of Nomi Sunrdier. One secret discarded from the record books lists Anthony's father as none other than Ulic Qel-Droma.
Corellian Defender-Class; Light Corvette; 'Shield'
Developed at the height of the Great War, the Defender was custom-built for the Jedi Order. The Jedi Council commissioned the starship after determining that Republic military vessels were not well-suited to the Jedi’s more specialized missions. The Defender’s exterior design is based on the consumer model corvette, but it has been outfitted with countless customized upgrades. The starship includes two levels. The formal upper level features diplomatic meeting rooms and an elegant conference room at the ship’s center. The conference room contains a unique Holocom system for secure communications with the Jedi Council. The Defender’s lower level includes a cargo hold, a medical bay, and a small private space in which the Jedi can retreat for meditation. Despite the Jedi Order’s commitment to peace, the ship is battle-ready. If circumstances warrant, the Defender is engineered with high-powered shields and twin turbo lasers to engage the enemy.
T7-01: The quirky and stubborn Astromech Droid designated T7-O1 hasn’t been memory-wiped since his activation more than two centuries ago. This rare condition gives T7 a massive knowledge base, with detailed records of every mission he’s ever undertaken and the many friends and enemies made along the way. Because his memories remain intact, T7 has developed a candid personality, a strong independent streak and a unique perspective on the galaxy. Unlike other droids, T7 doesn’t perceive his organic owners as masters, but instead refers to them more like partners. Over the centuries, he has faithfully teamed up with senators, spies, smugglers and even Jedi. T7 sees himself as protector of his more fragile organic allies, willingly placing himself in harm’s way and always ready to play the hero when innocent lives are in danger. Although he was originally designed for repair and piloting duties, T7 has accumulated many special modifications, expanding his potential uses on and off the battlefield. This little droid is much more than a mechanical servant… he’s a friend and ally to the end.
HK-51: Imperial assassins spend years training to develop the steel nerves required for their work, but HK-51 comes with such features pre-installed. Like the previous models in the HK line, including the legendary HK-47 of the Jedi Civil War, the latest model is hard-wired for hunting and killing. HK-51 turns the work of elimination into an art form. He performs his tasks with ruthless efficiency, with no thought for earning credits or achieving fame and glory. To HK-51, organics are primarily targets; there is no value in courting their approval. The only exception to this rule is for the lucky man or woman who he calls 'Master'. HK-51 is programmed with complex fail-safes that place loyalty to his Master at much higher priority even than self-preservation. Though the HK-51 model is outfitted with all the features of his predecessors, several upgrades are also included in the package. Practical use suggested that overly-ambitious engineers may have programmed previous HK models to be 'a little too bloodthirsty'. Make no mistake—the HK-51 models still relish violence in all its forms, but efficiency is now their guiding directive rather than brutality. Field tests have proven that the HK-51 models are far more reliable and effective in combat due to these upgrades. Despite the emphasis on efficiency, HK-51's primary directive is still to eliminate his target at any cost. When all other options fail, HK can activate a self-destruction charge to eliminate both himself and his target, ensuring a completed assignment. As useful as HK-51 models would be to both the Republic and Empire, acquiring one of these droids is currently believed to be impossible. The last intact HK-51 models were lost during the Great War, when an Imperial starship carrying a battalion of the droids was shot down over the ice-encrusted wastelands of Belsavis. Even if these models were discovered to have survived, they have undoubtedly been rendered inoperable after spending so long in such extreme conditions. Constructing new HK-51 units became impossible after unknown saboteurs erased every copy of the droid's design schematics from Czerka Corporation's computer network. The only HK-51 data files that weren't purged are rumored to be aboard an experimental Czerka mobile research lab known as the Theoretika. The vessel vanished during a routine hyperspace jump decades before the Belsavis incident and subsequent the sabotage of Czerka's archived schematics. Czerka spokespeople have publicly stated that even if the long-lost Theoretika were to be located, it should be destroyed immediately. Whoever was on board is undoubtedly dead, and the ship now represents far more of a threat than an opportunity. Unsurprisingly, there are many who question Czerka's credibility on this matter. There are certainly those who would be willing to take any risk if it meant possessing an HK-51 assassin droid. The value of the HK-51 technology is considerable, and the tactical advantages available to someone with such a companion at his or her side are astronomical.
