I'll admit it...I'm a bit of a DC fanboy (I do enjoy Marvel, a lot, but there have only been a couple series that are outside contenders for this exclusive list).

Just an epic arc in Batman's history. Plus Jean Paul Valley's suit was B.A..

This (along with Judd Winnick's Red Hood arcs) is such a great story dealing with the haunting of Batman's failure in regards to Jason Todd and shows just how strong Bats is when it comes to walking that fine line which is his code.

I consider this to be one of the best origin stories for any character and one of the truest incarnations of the big blue boy scout.
