Forgive me if this seems confusing, but hear me out:
I'm reading these books on Comixology, so my page numbering is off. For some reason I looked through Avengers #1 right after I read Avengers #5 and New Avengers #3 and I noticed a few things. Page 6, panel 4 has Steve seeing the Illuminati hovering over him as he recovers from a "bad dream" that screams of what happened in the end of New Avengers #3. Then I noticed that the first and second panels on page 3 in Avengers #1 were scenes from Avengers #4 and #5. Looking back at it now, the last panel in Avengers #1 page 4 looks like that may be the end of Age of Ultron with the funky looking Iron Men, but I'm curious if panels 1 and 2 are fall out from the shenanigans pulled by the Illuminati in New Avengers. Also, I guess this means that Avengers takes place AFTER New Avengers?
Also about Avengers, the wheel in the beginning of the books that shows symbols for the core six members with the branches coming off them for the expanded members of the team still has six spots open. I don't think that it's a coincidence that there is two open spots that branch back around and hover over Captain America and Iron Man. These branches all have characters that seem "semi-related" to the core character, so I'm thinking that at some point in time that Bucky and War Machine are going to be taking over the team due to Cap and Iron Man going MIA. Thoughts?
Simpler question:
My boss says that he likes Red Hood and the Outlaws but thinks the book would be better if they turned it into Red Hood and the Outsiders. My question to you guys is: What do you think about this and what DC heroes would you like to see as the new Outsiders? They could be characters from existing titles or characters that have yet to be reintroduced. I figured this would be a good way to bring back Wally West and/or Cassandra Cain.
