I really can't wait for Buccellato and Manapul to take over Detective Comics. Seeing Batman as a detective, as Francis says above, is exactly what I want from a book like Detective Comics. It is one of my favorite aspects of Batman and something that is brushed aside too often imo.

This was a fantastic episode. One of my favorites from the entire series.

I thought this episode was a step down from the pilot (which I loved) but still enjoyable. I disagree that Agent Ward is in the wrong for disliking Skye. He should dislike someone that has dedicated almost all of her time taking down the agency that he works for. The cast is kinda skin deep at this point but I think we will see some development and I will continue to watch.

I hate to be just another Joker vote but I couldn't resist. He is just too great of a villain. With that said I would also like to put forward that Sinestro, Darkseid, and The Rogues are all pretty close.

Has Nocenti ever written anything worth reading? She seems to consistently get awful reviews and yet she still gets work.

@fallschirmjager: I know it isn't necessarily based off of it but I personally feel it is a concept perfect for television. Not saying it will be good because that has more to do with the writing and performances than the concept but I am excited for this.

@fallschirmjager: I assume you have not read Gotham Central? It is about the police in Gotham and is some of the best writing in comics IMO.

I really really really hope this takes the tone of Gotham Central and really fleshes out the characters in the GCPD. I have seen it described as a Jim Gordon origin but I hope that is just an over simplification.

@g_man: I just ordered that book. Really looking forward to reading it. I agree with you completely about the subject at hand. The writers wrote themselves into that unnecessary corner. I personally feel that making Superman kill defies a part of the character that I love so much. He should be the moral compass of the DCU and he can't be that after Man of Steel.
