I think a complete re-watching of The Clone Wars may be appropriate.

This news has me more excited than almost all future movies from Marvel (not a shot at Marvel, I'm just really excited for Valiant). The potential is massive for these properties and I hope that this means Valiant will be able to grow as a competitor in the comics market.

@newecho: I say he is a one hit wonder because he hasn't done anything of note since Knightfall in the 90s. He is most definitely a force to be reckoned with but, as the guys have pointed out on the CV podcast, he is basically "peaked in high school Rob Lowe" who just keeps pointing out that he broke the Bat without doing anything overly impressive since.

In my opinion, Bane is one of the most over-hyped villains in all of comics. He is a one hit wonder who was only able to take down the Bat by wearing him down to exhaustion with other villains and then ambushing him in his home. Daredevil takes this 8 times out of 10. His radar sense would cue him into weaknesses with Bane's venom harness and the agility that DD has shown would be enough to avoid any big attacks. Bane actually stacks up against Batman better than he does against Daredevil because as a more "ninja" like fighter DD would be more inclined to stay out of Bane's reach. Bats has shown a knack for getting into slugfests from time to time despite his skill in other areas of combat.

I was hoping this would be return to form for Blomkamp. I loved District 9. This is getting blasted by critics though so I may have to skip this one. I'll probably pick it up once it hits red box or watch it on Netflix one day.

Came back to give my post-read thoughts. If I'm being honest, I was a bit disappointed. I'd give it a 3 stars because I don't think it was a bad comic but it didn't ring true in the way that Star Wars and Darth Vader have from Marvel. Surprising considering how much I like Waid. Ultimately, this was very set-up oriented (something to be expected from a number 1) but the other two Marvel Star Wars comics managed to have a set-up to a larger story while also giving us a great deal of excitement. Most of this issue was fairly boring. I wasn't too fond of Luke's characterization in the issue either. I also can't say the relationship between Leia and Evaan felt at all natural. Especially that moment where Leia hugs her after they pull their little trick. That felt out of character completely. The art was good but not great. A couple of times characters look really off (creative interpretation is one thing but Han and Luke looked really weird). Dodson did manage to draw some gorgeous looking ships in a few scenes and the color work was good as well.

Overall, I think there is potential here but I never felt excited reading this. Obviously, I plan to read the whole mini series but I do hope the series picks up in a big way. I'd be disappointed if this Leia mini series turns out to be average or below. Especially since I think Leia is a character that should get more exploration in this new canon.

I try pretty much anything Star Wars but Mark Waid writing a Star Wars book means it's an automatic buy. I'll be hitting up comixology later tonight for this. Looking forward to it.

It seems to me that many of the people that are freaking out over Catwoman being bi are extremely ignorant of the character. She has shown bi-sexual tendencies for a long time. If this is them coming out and just confirming what I have always assumed, then it's not a big deal. I actually don't think any character's sexuality matters as it rarely defines who they are. The more important thing to be talking about with Catwoman is that her series is actually good again. Something we haven't been able to say for a long time.

2 stars is spot on but I disagree about Fish being the most interesting story here. Her story makes no sense. The whole thing is just dumb in my opinion. The only part of the episode I liked was Penguin having the old couple fight and then killing the survivor. That felt very true to the character. Also, has anyone noticed that his hair keeps getting more and more ridiculous as the season progresses?

Anyway, I've gotten to the point that I rarely sit and just watch this show. I need a distraction otherwise I get frustrated with the atrocious writing. So I usually read or mess around on the computer while it's on. I hope the writers and show runner are paying attention to the legitimate criticism out there so they can improve in season 2. The sad part is that I liked this show all the way until the mid-season finale but it's been pretty much garbage since then.

The concept of this show sounds god awful. I usually give every comic book show a shot but I'm not going to bother with this. Even if it is a well done procedural, it's still a procedural. Which is a type of show I have no interest in.

This series has been really good so far and this finale looks to really step things up. I can't wait to see it!
