My name is Tim and Its taken me a couple of weeks to get to this post as there is just so much shiny goodness on the site that caught my attention. I've loved comics and their related media for as long as I can remember and have only not picked them up when needed due to budgetary concerns.
I agree that there are too many titles for some characters, of which Batman is one of the worst. With Spider-man it is a lot per month but at least it's the same storyline. This to me is most evident when "events", like the X-Men have had lately, where you have to buy/read all of the titles in order to follow and understand what's going on.
At this point, The Avengers is my favorite, but we'll see how long that lasts. In regards to Secret Avengers, with the word secret in the title, I thought that maybe it meant they would doing things that the Avengers shouldn't be seen doing. In my opinion, going to mars isn't it. I was looking for something more along the lines of the start of issue one where they were working undercover.
I will be checking it out, but I don't really have high hopes as this isn't the first time they've tried this with Wonder Woman. For me part of the problem is that on one hand she's portrayed as being a leader in the hero community alongside Batman and Superman, and on the other hand they saddle her with rogues who are very unmemorable to anyone outside of avid readers of her book.
