The Comainian Testing Ground / Nastromo-Nec

A testing ground for the old Comainian warring games, Nastromo-Nec is a space colony that is left absent in the Lost Lands. Constructed to be a exodus for the damned, the 'Dome' is the worst place for a citizen to be sent to. While being the testing ground of condemned gladiators and warriors, it has also been a death sentence criminals, exiled, and the poor have all been thrown into this structure. Either in squads of mass numbers or solitarily left, a countless number of humans, androids, aliens, and sentient beings have been sentenced to the Dome.

Resting in space, isolated by the darkness of the void, it was the notorious birthing ground of the Predator. And, the location holds a series of pods and corridors built over a mining camp. With many engineered creatures and beings of various alien and mutated origins, the wide system station homes many of these monsters. While the researchers were given rooms in the top, and miners in the bottom, the likes of terror was left riddled throughout the Parkgrounds.

Environments and Elements of the System Grounds

The Research Facility

The Research Center

The research center sits in the direct center of the testing grounds, surrounded by thick forest vegetation of the testing garden system. The facility is used to observe and study the subjects of the ground. Inhabited by Comainians and Promengineers alike, the base is guarded by numerous types of animatronic droids and androids. With wide corridors and rooms, they could fit a large amount of workers and movement, Although, only a select few freely roam the halls, since many of the test subjects could sense them through the multi-fiber walls and metallic glass that separate and protect them from the threats outside.

From the observation spear that stretches up to the top of the domed testing grounds, a series of heavily enforced corridors lead to the only exit points on the dome. So, the workers could only exit from within the facility, and not from outside. As well, their are only a few select areas could the center could be entered from the garden; all of which are double-doored hangers.

Engineering Spear

The tall cylinder structure that stretches up to the height of dome, the Engineering Spear is used by engineers and Comainians to create the numerous beings and creatures that inhabit the testing grounds., With many rooms and lads that home genetic research, rooms full of growth tank for producing the creations, and conference rooms for meetings involving the system, this area is very important to the Researchers.

All of the beings were created here, from their genetic makeup, DNA coding, and physical reproduction, before the creature would be shot out of the facility and into the park through shoot.

Mining Ground

The abandoned mining ground of energy ores and minerals, this area is a mazed system of ramps, tunneling corridors, and crate rooms. The engineers would collect goods from deep within the underground region for use above. From the lava caverns below, to the entrances to the caves and caverns, the mines are drenched in darkness and heavy heat. As steam seeps the smell of scorching metal into the region, bare many built in lamps and steel doors.

Once major for the working of the generators, the mines are now invested with the Xenomites, who penetrated them from the caves. Borrowing throughout the system, the mines are now locked off from the rest of the facility. And, with no one to man the mechanics, the lava have backed up and built up extremely hot steam and airflow.

The Lava Chambers

Built into the very bottom of the western end of the underground caverns, the Lava Chamber is connected to the abandoned mines. Constructed out of the dirt, it was filled with a lack of lava, rippling down from higher levels, it runs up to a hot springs on the surface. Furthermore, littered with exploding powder and fiery minerals, the sea of yellow extremes pours into streams that flow through tunnels under the Park.

Hiding energy minerals and important items, the lava chambers are pocket caverns that are overwhelmingly stuffed with burning material. Too hot for most life sources, it is safe from predator. Though, the lava makes it dangerous for travel through. With only heat and lava resistant androids working down there, the area is a red hot solitude.

The Testing Ground

The Park

The Park is the testing ground of the domed region. A few acres of untamed rainforest, the hilly terrain is covered in thick trees and roots, bushes and undergrowth. Circling the Research Facility in all direction, the plant life has grown to a hugonous degree that homes numerous beastly terrors against the subjects that are scent out into it.

With a streaming river flowing around the base grounds, all of the vegetation pumps a excess of air and wind into the sky of the dome. Floating into waves of greenery that forms a sea of the treeline, with 120 sq miles of open land, many caverns and valleys riddle the ground in ups and downs of variety. Dropping to near arctic degrees at night, the long periods of darkness are deadly to the bare. As the day lies in extreme moisture and fog, pouring harsh winds and rainfall across the map, this rainforest is intensely humid and unyielding.

Yautjari Campgrounds

The campgrounds of the Hunters, this site is a circle of cropped land, surrounded by trees. With tents built tall and strong, it homes the species of monstrous hunters. With a huge fire constantly burning in the center of the ground, it's broad light acts as a beacon for the clansmen who are out on the hunt. A light that shines deep into the night, it protects them from darkness and freezing in the twilight of night. Circled by impaled skulls and skeletons upon spears and poles, they warn outsiders of their location. As the smell of hanging bodies drag down from nearing tree branches, the Hunters bare crates of ammo and weaponry, goods and resources.

The Ape Village

The home of the Ape men, a series of treehouses stretch high into the tall trees of the forest. With a chain of rope-bridges connecting the homes, this city is made of wood and board. With lanterns and torches lighting the pathways, the Ape could walk and swim around the village with quick ease. As spiked spears and thorns are left gagged and splintering out the side of the foundation trees, they keep predators from climbing up to the town.

Greenhouse Garden

The closest bit of forest to the facility, this garden is closed off by a moat that circles the spear fully. Marking the base of the Comainians' work area, it is guarded and secured from external invasions and intrusion. With droids and garden threats, it is a dangerous ground for those unwanted.

The Winter

A area of the forest, covered in thick fog and mist, the Winter surrounds the edge of the dome. Blanketing the jungle's rim, at the entirety of the border, it keeps the subjects from escaping. Since it is too thick to see through, too cold to withstand on average, with unearthly levels of chilling frost, and filled with creatures of the mist, the Winter is a long stretching icy hell to though who try to run to the walls. Though the same trees still inhabit the region, as if it is still a rainforest, the ground is rocky and frozen, while snow blinds the silence of howls and whistling.

Cavern Jungle

A system of underground caves and caverns connected by tunneling passageways, this area is home to many different bioluminescent jungle trees and undergrowth. Crammed into this roofed base, they create a tight rainforest of hidden darkness.

Home to many dark-prone creatures and monsters, this near pitch black area is intensely dangerous. And, without a light, is nearly unsurvivable for a being who relies on typical sight to see. Even with the assistance of glowing fungi and vines, it is still pitch black in appearance; as well as rather silent. Barrels of hive tunnels create systems of tunnels to cross through, as the river floods and rushes through from the surface to the deep of the dark blackness.

Abyssal Cascam

A deep canyon that rest in the western side of the map, the Abyssal Cascam is a deep gorge that steeply digs down into the ground. Tightly compressed and shallow, this gorge separates the western dome wall from the rest of the park. While a stream runs down in the deep of the gorge, the entire Cascam runs up to the rim with a thick fog of mist that matches the Winter.

The floor is littered with critters that haunt the deep and scavenge on those who fall into the Cascam. While a swamp makes up the edge of the rocky walls of the shallow floor, stretching vines and humorous roots across the top, that's the only natural way to cross over, with a few rope bridges reaching over the mist.

The Water

A river that runs along the many landscapes of the rainforest, this large mass of water pours down waterfall, through valleys and streams, and even into caves. Travelling deep into the caverns, it fills the deepest levels of the system, flooding some areas of the mines and lava chambers. Lighting a neon blue under the caves, it reaches every region of the Park, and can be used to journey the entire testing grounds.
