Top Ten Alternate Versions of DC Characters

1) All-Star Superman
I think he represents what Superman is supposed to be. All-Star Superman is the ideal Superman, not only super powerful, but super creative and intricately connected to humanity.
2) Batman from Dark Knight Returns
Ok obviously the top bada#@ Batman. Not only does he bring down one of the most powerful beings on the Universe, but he does it with ruthless abandon.
3) Wonder Woman from Kingdom Come
I see the Wonder Woman as the coolest; not only is she a master warrior, decked out in Eagle Amazonian Armor, but she is extraordinarily kind, directing Superman's moral understanding.
4) The Joker from the graphic novel Joker
This portrayal of Joker is not only dark, ruthless, and unforgiving, it really makes me feel like a man like Joker could exist (plus it reminds me of Heath Ledger)
5) Superboy-Prime
His insanity and self-believed innocence makes him a deep character and an amazing villian
6) Terry McGinnis as Batman in the DCAU
Reading Terry is an awesome experience; not only do we get a healthy dose of sci-fi, but we read a Batman we care about with a sense of humor
7) Red Son Superman
This tragic story takes the traditional power corruption story and gives it a super twist; Superman is the tragic hero whose cost is lost in his self-righteousness
8)Power Girl (As a version of Supergirl)
I know that she is main continuity, but she is definitely the most complex and powerful version of Supergirl
9)Captain Marvel from Superman 3D and Final Crisis
I just loved his attitude and how he handled problems, he was just a cool character (keep in mind I haven't read Alex Ross's graphic novel with Cap)
10)Harvey Dent in The Long Halloween
This is another character who is in main continuity, but I think the Long Halloween in all its complexity truly displays the complex character that makes up Two-Face
