Wow, it's really depressing to see more than half of the comic book writers who were interviewed immediately/thoughtlessly suggested THEIR comic would be a good video game. Spineless sell outs

How do you respond to allegations that your portrayal of Starfire is sexist, and how is this version of Starfire more conducive to the new 52's status quo?

Also, Bruce is in a wheelchair. If his back is broken, then in the Nolanverse it would take some time to heal. What if Bane breaking his back effectively puts Bruce into retirement and Gotham into hell, setting the stage for a Dark Knight Returns-style comeback

Ok, I have a theory from watching this trailer... What if the movie's plot is some kind of combination of Knightfall and The Dark Knight Returns? The trailer mentions that Batman has been gone and has to return, and the inmates surrounding Batman and his nigh unstoppable opponent is reminiscent of the scene in the Dark Knight Returns of Batman fighting the leader of the mutants...

There have always been "superheroes" and superhero stories. You might have heard of a book called The Epic of Gligamesh  one of the oldest surviving stories in human culture from early Mesopotamian civilizations. That story chronicled a King who lived for over a hundred years, survived a worldwide flood, and performed superhuman feats. Another story one could point to is Beowulf. Beowulf is an ancient Celtic piece of literature that depicts a man ripping the arm of a monster or single handedly defeating a dragon. Let's also not forget the many depictions of Gods throughout history. Although we may take it for granted in modern comics because Gods are such a staple in comics today and have established character histories within comic universes, but the stories of Gods were some of the original superhero stories: people with extraordinary powers doing extraordinary things. Our modern superheroes are just a modern representation of an ancient need for storytelling, and the flashy costumes and names are merely a reflection of our own personal American culture.

@Emperor Gonzo Noir:  But if he was taking the place of his ancestors then how did the family line continue? like in the cowboy issue for instance. Also, I don't think he was taking the place of his family during the noir issue; so im not sure if that applies, but i could be wrong.

Ok, I'll say this: I loved this comic. I loved the entire Morrison run on Batman and I'm excited for Batman Inc, but I do have some questions left.
1) If Batman and Robin #16 takes place after Road Home, then why does Bruce ask "Is that Damien in a Robin costume?" Shouldn't he know that Damian is Robin?
2) What, after Bruce's journey through time, compelled him to launch a global Batman crusade and admit to the world that he has been "financing batman in secret for years." I don't get it; does his support of  Batman make Batman any more legitimate, wouldn't it just put more focus on Bruce and make it harder to keep his secret identity secret? In fact, doesn't publicly admitting he supports Batman eliminate the need for a secret identity in the first place? Villains are going to target Batman's benefactor the same as they would Batman. Also, shouldn't Bruce be focusing on fixing Gotham in its time of need? What about other heroes? How will they take this? I think this completely changes the game.
 3) Finally, what is going to happen to Dr. Hurt? Is he immortal? If so, simply burying him is not going to stop him; I think we are going to see him again.
As I said, I don't really care about any flaws. I loved this series and I'm excited for the future of Batman and the Batman family.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely. I think there are plenty of examples of how heroes lose sight of their original goals when they enter politics. One good example is Red Son Superman; he took over Russia to try and make it a better place, and eventually turned it into a police state.
