the problem isn't just heroes vs heroes for me. Marvel has 3 events going on right now while advertising the next one. I'm sure there will be some really great ones but they will only get lost in an ocean of mediocrity.

Arkham city to be exact. Or Spider-man 2 movie game. I like shattered dimension and web of shadows but it wasn't the quintessential spider-man experience that we could have gotten instead of the amazing spider-man 2 game (which i admit had some good things going for it)
Which brings the question: If being Batman is about the detective and stealth skills... what's being spider-man about?
